Good stuff! :D Definitely some other points are that Sophie's Revenge has a playable lower deck as well, had multiple options for the figurehead(at extra cost), and the Falling Star for some reason doesn't have railings along the sides for most of the ship for some strange reason(main dealbreaker for me, in addition to the cardboard floors). :) Sophie's Revenge is definitely a much more beautifully designed ship, with intricate details. But there's also something to be said for simplicity. If Reaper had sold the ship at retail price, it would probably be between $150-200. Yet at the same time, Wizkids is not going to do Kickstarters, and Reaper's not releasing this product for retail anyway. I think the late backer price was 20% more, so $120, and at that point it's still $30 lower than the Falling Star(MSRP $150), yet you get an overall much better product.
The reaper ship is now available for $199 and they have a set of 10 glow in the dark canons for it for $20 not shure why they went with glow in the dark since they will get painted but cool none the less
Sophie's Revenge is now available from Reaper, for about 200 bucks. We got it from the Kickstarter and it has held up well for gaming. I considered the Falling Star, but the reviews citing it's fragility and the cardboard decks made it a no go. I bought some beautiful resin printed ships instead.
The falling star uses mdf (medium density fiberboard) not cardboard as its deck layers. The deck layers are reversible (on grid/off grid). And no mdf is not a negative its a positive as if damaged you can easily replace it, unlike a resin print or fdm print (unless of course you have a printer). Both are beautiful ships, i would love to see your finished products. When purchasing any large resin print item before paint or use, set outside for 15-30m mid day to harden (if its extremely hot outside 15m if its a cool winter day 30m, i will also add this is the time I use and I live in a relatively cool temp place, if your in a high heat area (NV, CA, Texas, etc) put it outside in the morning 9am not mid day, and just do 10m and if you feel you need longer, go 15m) The issues with large prints is they are not exposed long enough to UV light when produced. Thus can cause softer parts which will break, the flip aide is if you expose to UV light (1hr or more) it can become brittle and break. Before painting use a damp cloth with 1/3 alcohol to water mixture to clean the surfaces of the resin so that the oils are removed and paint will adhere to resin. Allow it to completely dry before you primer. My favorite ship is from loot studios ship ahoy bundle.
I tried to watch but I cannot hear your voice over the background music. The tone of the music was incredibly abrasive as I struggled to figure out what you said. Had to stop 2 minutes into the video.

They are also offering a conversion kit for the lighthouse, to convert it to a guard tower. I originally did not care for the lighthouse concept, until I saw the artwork for it.

Sounds pretty luxurious. I have used both models in my pirate campaign. They both definitely do the job.

Comparing the pricepoints isnt really fair, considering The Falling Star is retail priced and The Sophie's Revenge is a kickstarter product.
Sophie's Revenge would probably retail for about 200 if it became available.
