I do listen. "Tempo of the Damned" is the best thrash-metal album ever. No fillers, all killers. Kills about 99,5 % of other thrash/speed albums, including Metallica. Seriously? Yeah, I think so. "Master of Puppets" is dope, but "Tempo of the Damned" is even better, if possible. Exodus just kicks ass big time. Aggression all over. Relentless beating is going on, but with a style. Gary Holt's finest riffs are here. Plus insane vocals by Steve Souza. Truly excellent-sounding thrash metal album. It's amazing, that the best thrash-metal album was made back in the earley 2000's, not in the 80's.
Showel headed KM beats it easily. While this is one of the best thrash songs ever, tempo had too much meh songs. Shroud of urine is horrible song so is throwing down .
This song has every angle in music from the voice, the guitar, the bass and the drumming. But don't take it from me and listen to it as many times as you can to realize the beauty that possesses Thrash Metal 🤘🎶
This song is perfectly constructed, executed and delivered. Verse, pre-chorus and chorus ... brilliant. Musically and vocally brilliant. Tom tears it up
One of my all time favorite groups i grew up listening to these guys I'm 49 now and still a hard rocker and my brother is also he is 52 about to be 53 heavy metal rules
We're about the same age (just turned 53) and feel just the same. I fell in love with metal when I was a kid back in the early 80's, started with NWOBHM. Still love good metal after all these yrs, even though today I like other genres too. But once a metalhead stays a metalhead, I guess. It gets into your genes and venes.

@@myricksalazar2503 they definitely never “sold out”, but that’s also why I’m not a fan of them. They’re just pure thrash. It’s boring as all hell to listen to the same exact thing record after record for 40+ years. I respect exodus, and I’m seeing them Friday opening for anthrax. But they’re definitely not a band I’ll listen to willingly because of how boring they are. They need more variety, and a vocalist who can actually sing some memorable melodies that people can sing along to.
@@The_Buff_Guy Had they released the tempo of the damned as their second album after bonded by blood, instead of pleasures of the flesh, this band would have been a lot bigger. Or even they release this instead of force of habit in 1992. Exodus would have been in a whole other league. Tempo of the damned and shovel headed kill machine are such powerful and fierce albums, it blows anything 80s thrash bands did. Those albums should have been released in the 80s.
Exodus say the timing of Bonded By Blood very much hurt then because they had label problems which caused the album to be released in 1984 instead of even 1982, they would have been lumped as the creator of thrash and thus even bigger. There is evidence to back up the claim as Kurt Hammet truly invented the thrash sound in 1982, what really caused their own problems so to speak was actually themselves. Changing singers, 3 long years between albums 1984 to 1987 bonded to pleasures. And the way I look at it, pleasures being nowhere near the album that bonded by blood was, to me that's the biggest reason why they failed in the 80s
