I LOVE NIVADA GRENCHEN! A newfound love for me! 💕I had actually never heard of them until about a month ago when a watchmaker friend of mine told me to look into them. They are behind impressive. Great review as always!

Very cool! If you have $2k burning in your pocket, the Nivada and the Hamilton Intramatic are probably the best chronos in the space.

Great video Evan, thanks. I have the black dial Chronomaster, manual wind. Wanted it to be like the original...Nivada did an amazing 1-to-1 recreation. The smartwatch of the 1960s - time, chronograph, 2nd time zone, timing bezel, tachymeter. Value for money this is a great one. Agree re bracelet...it is good though clasp is lacking (maybe like the original as well?). I wear my watches mostly on a strap, and would also recommend that people interested get on a strap. ⌚👍
These are amazing! A lot of newer brands today like Baltic try to emulate the vintage aesthetic but comes across soulless, but these two watches speak to me.
As usual, I appreciate both the technical info and the ultra-dry delivery ❤. I’ve been semi-lusting after several watches in Nivada Grenchen’s line, but there is dearth of substantive information available on the interwebs. At least what I have been able to locate.… You captured the N.G. company info in the video, but that feels more like advertising than hard data. It kind of gives me an Eddie Haskell vibe… I’d be interested in hearing more about your longer-term thoughts about the watch and any interactions you might have had with the company or dealer. Help a brother out on the decision making process…. Keep up the great work!
I found out about this watch after I bought my Speedmaster. I think it would be tough competition if I found out about it before the Speedmaster. I love the 12 hour scale on the bezel and 100m water resistance. One reason I got a Lorier Gemini.
Recently they talked about re releasing a Nivada Grenchen GMT. I googled it and it reminds me a lot of a Tag Heuer Autavia (which I love). So everyday I'm stalking their Instagram to see its release.

Both cool watches and deserving of more attention (I own the Sea Diver). Also check out the NG Antarctic Spider which is charmingly bizarre.
I LOVE the chronograph design. The black dial version of that same, broad arrow model is one I’ve been eyeing for a number of months (a year?). IDGuy did a video on that one a while back. Great size, classic look. What’s not to like.

Love the look. Not something I would get, little bit too chunky for me, but happy these are some more attainable watches. Please keep making these videos
You may be surprised how not chunky these thicker watches feel when they have the smaller diameters like the chrono. It very well May still be too thick for you, but definitely try one on. You might change your mind. 👍🏼

Nivada Grenchen is not a brand I have stumbled across before. Not my cup of tea, but as always, very interesting and beautifully shot video.
I had no interest in these watches, but I clicked on the video anyways because I have to. (Everyone should)
By the time you hit the dimensions of that depthmaster I had actually become slightly interested, and I'd say the credit is split between the watches having some character, and your presentation of them.
Giving away an extra strap to your viewers that grab one is pretty... terrific. I suspect they'll be giving away a lot of straps in the coming weeks.
Curious if the Pac-Man has a ghost date position? I believe they switched from sellita to soprod not too long ago

I understand that they're trying to stay true to the original by having a friction bezel on the Chronomaster... I just wish they had the option of a ratcheting bezel.
I was not expecting the price on that depthmaster. That is a fantastic price!
Makes me wonder about depth/price ratios for mechanical watches. This must have one of the higher ratios.

Nice Video but with a small mistake. The Pacman was not the only watch with 1000m water resistance. There was the famous Jenny Caribbean from 1960.
Jenny wasn’t founded until 1963. So it could be very close.

About Pac-Man watches.. Look for "Tian Harlan Chromachron watch" from the 1973.
Edit: Looks like there are now modern versions of the watch in the same name.

Ha. That Luminor design is a purely modern invention from the 1990’s. Not the case with the “Luminor 1950”.

WATCH IS SHIPPED FROM HONG KONG. Poor Quality. $240 shipping return cost.
People should know that the watches are being shipped from Hong Kong. The one I received is of fairly poor quality; the hands do not even match the indexes' color. I reached out to support, and Nivada Grenchen is not covering the shipping cost for the return, which is around $240 USD. I would highly recommend looking at other timepieces before making a purchase.

I already liked these from seeing photos and videos. But, when I got to see them in person at one of the Wind-Up Watch Fairs in San Francisco a couple months ago, they impressed me even more in person and in hands and on wrist. I really like to get one.. or maybe both 😁. thanks for the video review
Another brand that was bought and revived by same group that did these watches is Excelsior Park. I got to see and handle those in person too and they're quite nice and about same quality and value as these watches. Try to check them out also if you can.
And the group also bought Vulcain - with new/revived models due later this year.
