I was teetering on the edge until I watched this video. Hit the buy now. Credit/Blame is all yours. Thanks for all you do for the community. You and BigJ's excellent show is fun to listen too a bad for my productivity. Keep up the good work and best regards.
Thanks for the share, BBRKevin. I was so impressed when I got this in hand, I bought the dymalux walnut one for my grandson for his 13th birthday this month (for quail hunting, deer hunting, and camping with his father/brothers). Even though this Alpha Pro and Scout knives are new for 2023 in S35VN, Buck did release the #194 Alpha several years ago in Japanese ATS-34 steel (equal to 154CM). I almost bought one from EKnives consignment in May.
Excellent information brother! I’m sure that that knife will be cherished!!! It’s such a great one isn’t it? Brother thank you for stopping by.! Always love to hear from you!!
Brother, thank you for being here!! it’s a great knife, i you will not be disappointed!! Hey brother if you could please subscribe to help the channel grow!
Brother, I’m sorry for the late reply. Yes Buck did a great job with this one I highly recommend it. Thank you for stopping by and please do continue to comment. I love reading them.!!
What? Their steel is about the only thing they do better than the other companies. Otherwise they are about 15+ years behind the time. The only thing they're good for is reliable heat treat.
@@Silence-and-Violence you are right, I know they master their steel and you don’t need super steels for all the applications ;my 110 in 420HC it’s irreplaceable!
@liviuilea6926 oh my brother, they are doing high end steel now. They've done s30v for a little while now. They've done s35vn for a bit. And for the last year they have been doing magnacut. Magnacut shines with a high, hard heat treat which I trust Buck to do. You can get a full custom Buck in Magnacut and ironwood or elk or walnut handles for right around $150-200, made in America. That's actually a ridiculously good deal.
That’s a beautiful piece!!!!! Do you have the buck compadre I just ordered it should be here soon!!!! It looks like a fantastic camp knife!!!!! Thanks so much Kevin be well out there….. make sure you have the latch locked in the back of the truck I’ve lost a couple things not checking that latch lol 😂
Hey Pete!! that’s funny that you mention the compadre!! I was just holding that knife at the store that I go to the other day! It’s a fantastic and beautiful blade! Probably my next purchase! How have you been brother? I tried reaching out to you on Instagram. I don’t know if you got it.! Hey man, I’m always checking those doors lol. Be well, my brother.!!! Thanks for stopping by!
That's a dandy little EDC fixed blade and s35vn is one of my favorite blade steels. I use Ballistol to remove gunk from stickers off my knives, also works for many other things too...😉Great review and Cheers!
I have size large hands. I can comfortably grip the 662 Alpha Scout with a full handed grip. You will probably have no problems with the handle on any of the Alpha series, even the smallest one has a sufficient handle.
It seems like a nice design but I gave up on Buck a couple years ago after two knives in a row arrived completely unfinished. Nick Shabazz is right about TH-cam, unfortunately.
I bought one for a Christmas present for my son last year and was very disappointed when it arrived. I have never seen a rougher coarser edge on a blade. All the factory did was put the initial grind on and ship. Shame on Buck. Not buying anymore Bucks.
Great review brother!! That blade is definitely a winner for Buck!! They are paying attention to the masses and putting out some great edc options!!
100% accurate! That is something I love about Buck! They listen to their customers!!!!
They killed it with this one!!!
Great knife fixed blade and an EDC, fun video

That is an awesome knife, my friend. Congrats on picking it up. It's a great addition to your collection. Thanks for sharing, Boston.
Tom, thank you brother! I’m absolutely digging this! I love this size for EDC!!
I love the Benchmade Canyon Hunter design. Always was hoping Buck would design something similar. Great video. I already ordered one.
Brother, thank you for being here!! it’s a great knife, i you will not be disappointed!! Hey brother if you could please subscribe to help the channel grow!
I loved the original alpha series, have several in different steels. This new release is excellent and the sheaths are gorgeous.
Brother, I could not agree more!! Buck really knocked it out of the park with this one!! Stay tuned a lot more on the way!!!
Wow, Kevin, I like this! 👍Looks like Buck took the best of everything, to create this one!💯 Thanks for showing it. 👍Take care and have a good one!

I’m loving this knife brother!! I’m definitely gonna check out that recommendation. Thank you.
Great looking knife! Nice size and design!!
Thank you Mike I’m loving it!! Love this size!
Looks like another winner from Buck
Definitely brother!!
I’m thinking of using the 664 as an edc. I don’t like my pinky hanging off my knives

You know I love that one!!!!!🔪👍
Sog… what’s up brother yes this is an amazing piece. I highly recommend it. Thank you so much for stopping by.!!!
Hell yeah man
Thanks Tristan looking forward to the live brother!!!!
Almost the same shape as mkm makro. The sheath sold me on this Buck tho
Ahh you got one of the new ones.. Very nice..
Had to grab this! Love small EDC’s!
Very nice, here in Spain they are not yet available, when they are here, I will buy one.
They are great Knives. I hope you get one.! I have a Lot of other videos please subscribe to help the channel grow! Thank you
It seems like a nice design but I gave up on Buck a couple years ago after two knives in a row arrived completely unfinished. Nick Shabazz is right about TH-cam, unfortunately.
What did Nick shabazz say? I do like watching his videos .. but I didn’t catch that video he did on buck?
What are the prices?
I have bought, in the past few months, 15 different Buck knives, 2 of which was the Alpha Hunter and Scout, both in walnut.
Great knives brother!! BUCK That’s mostly all I review on my channel!! I collect them.. take a look at my channel and throw a sub if you like 👍🏻
Very small knife for EDC, the shape of the knife is good bit that choil is so big and he eats the lenght of the cutting edge.
It has a bigger brother 664 .
Truly a masterpiece. Design, material, heat treatment.😊
I would agree! Thank you for watching and supporting brother
I think this pattern might have staying power. 👊
100% brother!! Absolutely loving it!

I had a similar experience with Buck and have not tried another since. My new Spyderco is flawless as are my Scandinavian and Finnish knives.
