Made we salute you, when I first went to Bali there were so many more rice fields, many villages now have no delineation it all merges into one long line of tourism spots it is sad. There is still the north west which remains untouched bit who knows when even that will succumb. I no longer recognise places like canggu which was my favourite spot, small, pretty, undisturbed...now full of surfers and homestays. Our friends who have always lived there find it heartbreaking. I admire the ones who make a stand....

this documentary doesn't show the other side of balinese selling/leasing part of their land and build a guesthouse/restaurant on the remaining land. They're rich now while as he said in the video a few decades ago people were struggling for food. look at Jawa villages where there's no tourists the destruction by the local people and poverty is way worse than here
