Why does Guy warble around the note? No need. Dami is showing how to hit the note head on. Also not too sure about the protracted "they won't win" bit.
He's not the only one does this. It seems to be common amongst pop singers over the past decade or so. I notice Isiaih Firebrace also does it. IMO it detracts from the performance, as if you're trying to find the note rather than knowing just how to nail it.
i have listened to many singers over the years and it is a pop singer thing, Dami has come from classical lineage whom are taught o hit the notes bang on. Dami has the best voice in the business in Australia no wonder she is so popular as a vocalist.
