It would have to be something in relation to the deep dark. Just endless desert would just be recycling old minecraft stuff
NGL I kind of wish that there were actually some creepier things like this in Minecraft. The Deep Dark is creepy but mostly because it's dark and you have to actually be quiet, but the sort of liminality of the endless desert and the hallways dimensions was super cool to me. I adore creepy things in games that don't revolve around things being dark or violent or gory; I like the uneasy feeling you get from being in a place that just doesn't feel like you should be there, like a sort of emptiness that's so tangible that you feel like you're trespassing or out of bounds in some way. The hallways dimension in particular was cool because it just didn't make any kind of sense, almost like it wasn't built for humans to be in. The weird door behind the flower really cemented that feeling for me. Liminality and it's use to make a creepy or even threatening feeling when there's no threat present is just something I really love as a form of psychological horror; the maps in Source games and most of the game Superliminal are amazing examples of this. And even though Minecraft is admittedly a kids game, I think it would be so great if Mojang could add some kind of dimension or whatnot that really capitalizes on that kind of fear instead of the "ooo spooky I can't see and I need to be quiet or I die" type of fear that the Deep Dark has.

No joke.. As much simple as it is, I really love the look on that infinite desert. I am aware you can make custom biomes. I wonder if you could do that for Bedrock or something. Very charming video nonetheless!

@Terrortony666 I might understand your worry, but funnily I can understand why you said so. Perhaps I wasn't clear enough, even when I stated 'no joke'. I understood the theme of the video, but somehow, something about the combination of music (which does anyone know about?) and colours, of dark shadows with gentle glows of light from civilization, with gasping wide caverns with nothing but fragile stagatites (if I said it right) was both soothing and simply inspiring!

Honestly, if there was a Deep dark dimension, I would be so down to explore that. That and, maybe not infinite but, that desert cave would be fantastic additions. I would love those.
NO way I would want that, if minecraft got just 1 new biome I would delete it. It would have no purpose in defeating the ender dragon.

Outside of the backrooms and everything after this would actually be really cool if it got added to minecraft. They should merge the deep dark and desert dimensions and the desert just be like really really deep underground in some small 300 by 300 spaces so somewhat rare, with rare items you can only get there and maybe some more new items. Also have new mobs in this place and maybe holes that lead to the void?

I know it's probably part of a mod you used, but I would actually be thrilled to see the antique radio in Minecraft. It could be crafted using amethyst and some of the metal in the game along with redstone.

It would be cool to have dimensions like the dessert and skulk. Imagine your on a multiplayer server and someone is stealing, banish them beyond the doorway.
The infinite desert would be soooo useful, you could get sand without tearing up a local beach.
Also, i believed it at first, then became suspicious once I realized the doorway sounded exactly like Knarfy. Happy April fools!

I genuinely believed you for about 7 whole minutes. Then my fellings started to waver, and when you found the last doorway I was pretty sure this was an April fools joke. This was awesome.
I wish Mojane (i cant spell it right) would add these 3 dimensions with different types of entrances and exits:
1: the backrooms entrance: noclip into a block with the ender pearl noclip glitch.
2: the deep dark dimension entrance: find a sculk charge to light the portel
3: endless desert entrance: find the cursed mummy head in a chest in a sand temple and die with it in your to wake up/repawn in the endless desert.
To exit the deep dark dimension is to find a chest between two sculk shriekers and open the chest to get two sulk charges to light both the sculk shriekers to open a portel to go back to the overworld.
To exit the backrooms is by finding a hole in a wall to level 1 where you need to find a hole in the ground in a room or find a room that leads to the overworld.
Finally to leave the endless desert, you need to find a pyramid and when you spawn in the endless desert earlier you still keep your items and the cursed mummy head so in the pyramid, you must put the cursed mummy head back in the chest and you get Nassau and then teleport back to your normal world

Won't happen tho, because Mojunk are allowing 3rd party developers to put maps with "new" dimensions on the marketplace, and as long as everyone else is doing the hard work.....

Honestly, having random pocket dimensions would be a really cool addition to the game if it was only accessible through a Deepdark portal and there was a recall feature to base to escape the pocket dimension.
Would be great way to add a bunch of exploration to the game.

(april fools i know) but one thing i've always hated about the minecraft community is the statement: "it doesn't feel like minecraft" "it's like a mod" i hate it because it limits what minecraft could be... It stops minecraft from ever reaching its "maximum potential" ... So what I'm trying to say is that I'm fed up, I'm tired of hoping that something like this would happen (new dimensions, etc.) and of course I like these new features, really, but at the same time similar things were already in beta at the time in mods... I mainly wish that mojang would do something bold, something wild, and not always play it safe. Of course, there's always Hytale, whenever it's released... I just want to experience it again... The feeling of adventure, the thrill of the unknown... Whatever mysteries lie behind the next hill...
I’m sure that as the update progresses there’ll be more structures and stuff that spawn in the two new dimensions which are totally real

I really like the new update, I do think the backrooms is a bit weird but the last world is cool it reminds me of a game I have, its almost like a mod for that game, love the 1.20 update

A difficult but needed thing is an official modding API. We all know how popular modding is in minecraft. But its biggest issue is that every update breaks them. So a modding API would help every mods compatability if new mods are made with it in mind
Oh Man... you played me like a Fiddle. At first i was thinking and theorizing about the Possibilities of some new Dimensions. But the Doorways and Stuff were so weird and only a few seconds before the Video ended and solved everything, i started to remember which Day we have. I wish Minecraft would just keep the moon from the April Fools Update, it be cool to get a new dimension after 10 YEARS! Dear GOD, and technically yes the Dark Dimension kinda counts but it has no insensitive to wanna go to it. I just feel like the moon could have so much potential, like maybe abandoned moon bases, maybe a zombie moon man, maybe some new blocks like say a type of moon reactor to bring moon blocks to the over world? (Yes, it be a reference to the nether reactor) Or maybe you have to craft a space helmet from 5 glass and 3 iron ingots to actually breath in there! There’s SO MUCH POTENTIAL!

I realised it was april fools as soon as the desert biome appeared, I liked the idea of the sculk dimension but was skeptical and checked the date when the desert dimension happened. Also the fact that you just started playing Teardown at one point was hilarious.

One of the best April fools videos I've seen. Defo seemed sus throughout the whole thing. I do actually think that the endless desert biome should be a feature. It's one of those things that exist in Minecraft but doesn't make sense and I love the vibe it gives. I feel like there would only be one structure which is new there and it would be some sort of massive ruin with a few gravestones with names crossed out. In those graves would contain at maximum 3 diaries There would be new items as well known as the Way-finders': Goggles, Scarf and tunic, leggings and Boots. I imagine the Way-finders would be a civilization that lived in the endless desert before the weather and terrain became too harsh and wiped them out. This is just an idea though.

To be fair a skulk charge that generates sound in the location of impact would be really useful for exploring a deep dark biome it could be used to distract the warden for a moment so you can run

this popped up in my feed today. (3 weeks after april fools), i felt like something was off, but youtube showed to me this video was uploaded "2 weeks ago" -.-

All of this besides the backrooms would be so cool. But instead of only infinite desert infinite versions of all biomes being a potential destination along with the Hallways. Maybe they could do something with the lore too.

Man, how i want someone to just take D&D and port it into minecraft. Sure, there's some similar mods, but i want one that copypastes the stat and levelling system straight into minecraft, alongside a new damage formula and a ton of fun spells, and all the mobs.
