Ektar is getting pricey in March 2023, some places $25 a roll. Try Kodak Aerocolor IV. It’s respooled into 35mm cassettes and sold by Brooklyn Film Camera for $13 a roll. It’s rated at ISO 100, fine grain and very close to Ektar, but half the price. It uses ordinary C-41 processing. Worth a try.
The photo at 7:08 has to be my favourite. It works on so many levels. There’s colour contrast diversity between the subjects, great framing and such nice darkness in the shadows. This is really going to get me to try out a roll of ektar
Great video man. Love your povs and mainly the results your coming back with. Interesting fact which I realised today - I grow up on the shallow depth of field but hell "street" photography is so much better with higher fstops

By the way Ektar is also my go to color film, I love to go out and shoot with this emulsion in downtown Toronto for now and hopefully somewhere else a bit farer soon 🤞🏼

Love your videos sir you are a very underrated youtuber/film photographer 🙌🙌🙌 Also, you are very fast shooting a scene and those are sharp even while you are moving. Are you on let's say aperture f8 or above, then just do a zone focusing? Do you set your distance on the lens per say 4 feet so you can just fire the shutter once you are closer to the subject?
Can you explain why you overexpose the film bh 2 stops (iso 100-> iso25)? Thanks a lot ! And I don't want to repeat my complements about your work, which is so so great 😊
hallo Robin, I‘m relatively new to Film and until now I always expose according to the setting and meter. I know negatives are more forgiving in terms of over exposure, but is it a „standard“ to shoot with 2 stops over? Maybe you can give me some insight or tips, whether it better to in general over expose 1 or 2 stops?

have you considered velvia 50 or E100 slide films....... they really hit the colour notes too. enjoy
Not a fan of Velvia for shooting people. Ektachrome is nice but in harsh lighting conditions it's not the best choice though.

The guy leaning back into the fountain is great, really like how you can't see any water either, kinda looks like he's bending over into a huge well.
