Last month, my patrons voted on Snowy Monsters to be the theme of our monthly art challenge. I was browsing the miniature section at my local hobby and craft store and found a cool Frost Salamander from Nolzur's Marvelous Miniatures. The salamander looks like Randall Boggs's buff great uncle, so I decided it would be the perfect snow monster to make the centerpiece of my DIY Snow Monster project.

You should do a Monty Python themed one where the Knights are fighting the bunny rabbit, only make the bunny some giant monster. Your work is awe inspiring as usual.

Giant salamanders are right up there with unicorns, wooly mammoth, dragons, and Labrador retrievers as my favorite fictional animal! This build is fantastic!
Everything looks appropriately frosty and I love his blue breath. As excited as I am for your imaginary wild west series, I may be even more excited for this new one.
The diorama created based on the theme of the Snow Monster is a stunning piece of art. Fantastic! I'd been hoping you'd do another piece for the Medieval Monster Hunting theme. I think this is my favourite idea after the Wild Imaginary West!
If he switched back and forth between the two themes on a weekly basis, that would be perfect.
It sorta is a history of Monster fighters, Medieval times came before Western, so Monster fighters come from a long lineage. So this whole Monster series can go on forever, maybe even go back in time to primitive man fighting earlier creatures. You could even do ones from different parts of the world, Amazonian, Saharan, Tibetan, Chinese, etc....endless possibilities
You’ve done fire, now ice, I think you need either an earth dragon or lightning!!!

I love the cotton fire/ice it always looks so cool, maybe next some poisonous, or earth dragon could be a good addition to the new series

This was a nice build. I like your simplistic ideas turning into great pieces of art. I'm not a great fan of your wild west line, but I admire your work & creativity on them especially the scratch building that you do.
King Thranduil riding on his Elk fighting Orcs would be awesome too.
I love your in-action dioramas so much they're always so dynamic and interesting! I wonder if you'd ever want to do a Battletech diorama? The new line of models is really fantastic and the setting as a lot of lasers and explosive weapons to use with fun LED effects!
As a side note too, I hope you've got some dragons from the Reaper Minis Kickstarters because they're all beautiful sculpts and they'd be amazing in this new fantasy series you're doing! I'd love to see an attempt at a green dragon with some glowing poisonous gas coming from its mouth, or ever cutting open its chest and replacing it with a translucent 3D print or something to give a green glow from within or something
that dragon diorama has been my favorite of yours for awhile, i'm SO stoked that the universe is expanding!

I think a fun little diorama would be a medieval travelling trapper with a wagon and a slayed monster in the back or one tied down
Although not good for salamanders, hammers where actually very effective against knight armor. If you can't cut through it, bash it until it looks like a scrambled egg.

Very awesome, as always again would expect nothing less from Boylei Hobby Time. Love the cold blue icy breath that was really amazing looking and the story is pretty entertaining too I am sure I will be following along with this time line as much as I do with the Imaginary Wild West one too. You really have some great talents for building and story telling.

Simply incredible! And yes, please DO a Medieval / Renaissance Fantasy Series along the lines of your Wild Imaginary West!
This looks so awesome. The only thing I'd do different would be drilling out the eyes (and connecting to the open mouth) and filling the new openings with epoxy. This way, when the lights are on, the eyes would glow too.

One little critic: you should add the big footsteps of the monsters along with the smaller ones of the figures, especially in snowy or muddy terrains, to make it all appear more dinamic.

Yeah, the salamander's footprints and blood seeping from the lance wounds are literally the only two flaws I can find in this masterpiece.
@@earlware4322 Well, the wounds could have been from a while ago, so they would’ve healed at this point.
