Smaller Fractional Gold Coins Again

  • I've always thought of small gold coins (fractional gold coins) as being way over-priced in terms of premium. But, I'm seeing some better deals lately. Is the 1/10th oz gold coin a legitimate option for stacking? I just picked up a 1/10oz American Gold Eagle, and I kind of like it. 😁
NOTE: I am not a financial planner. I'm just a guy on the internet, talking about precious metals. Always do your own research before buying gold or silver.

I bought a 10-peso gold coin from them for a good low price (actually, via their eBay store). Recently I had about $5.50 eBay bucks so visited Liberty and bought a 1/10-oz silver Libertad, final price $5.46, I think. Free postage. I'm glad to add them to the other trusted vendors I check out when I'm in the mood to buy something shiny 😊😎😁 Oh, and I picked up a 1/4-oz gold US Mint Apollo 11 commemorative (with box and COA) from portsmouthcoinshop.com/ for a price I thought was good. I have a few of the 20 peso coins which I like because they have the nice very detailed Mayan calendar on them, and are just under a half ounce (0.4823 AGW). Besides the lower cost the premium is also a lower percentage of the value than it is on the 50’s. I just started picking up Mexican mint dos pesos little 1.6 gram coins. They're beautiful coins and about as low as I would go right around 1/20th and she's slightly smaller...but there's just something about them...they're really cool coins so I think I'm going to keep collecting those and then / what I've said before to you.... I definitely am going to be starting to collect 1/4 ounce American gold eagles. I think that's what I'm going to do....some 1/10 ouncers from different mints....some dos pesos cuz I like them and it's kind of nice to buy something that costs only 96 bucks for 1.6 grams of gold!!! LOW PREMIUM!!!!

@@thinkforyourself9311 I guess the trick is to sell or trade on the dips on spot, since collector coins still have a premium.
