Magnus also has pure SHOCK AND CONFUSION in his eyes when he hears someone, especially a shadowhunter, say that they trust him... he probably hasn’t heard that said to him in a very long time! And it hits even harder coming from the person he's been pursuing! 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤ They are a rare example of true love at first sight, in my opinion. (Because it wasn't just a crush that Magnus had! Alec was also MEGA flustered when he officially met Magnus, and it was simply adorable! 😂❤)
The fact that they trust eachother so early is very VERY surprising, but it's also very telling because it starts their relationship off by showing how healthy and genuine it has the potential to be.
3:25 That “why?” when Magnus say Alec that he want to see him again it's kinda bittersweet, like he couldn't believe that anyone pay attention to him for more time than the necessary. Actually, remind me to Magnus's quote in The Bane Chronicles: «If Jace was gold, catching the light and the attention, Alec was silver: so used to everyone else looking at Jace that that was where he looked too, so used to living in Jace’s shadow that he didn’t expect to be seen. Maybe it was enough to be the first person to tell Alec that he was worth being seen ahead of anyone in a room, and of being looked at longest. And silver, though few people knew it, was a rarer metal than gold.» I'm just seriously in love with Malec, it's the purest, most real and sincere love; Cassie Clare give us a beautiful and actually relatable love story, so I cannot be more thankful 💙💛💚
What I love even more about this scene is that the part when Magnus puts his finger to Alec's lips at 3:00 was improvised by the actor Harry so that was Matt's genuine response when he smiled! :]
I absolutely adore that before Alec walks out the door he looks at Mangus's eyes then moves down to his lips and body and then turns and walks away. Because lets be real, Magnus looked elegant with the sun beaming off of his face Also can we talk about how Magnus hasnt been with anyone for a century, a 100 years, and then the first person he finds an interest in is a SHADOWHUNTER, a kind hes never been into, hasn't trusted, and hasn't wanted to get to know. I find it so cute how Alec is the first person he has opened up his warmer and true self to, but that even though this is their second meeting, they both already have formed some sort of trust for the other when they both have been told and followed to never trust either side? adorable.
