The Night She Disappeared is such a great book! It shocks me that it kinda flew under the radar a bit - I only ever hear people talking about The Family Upstairs, None of This is True, and a couple of others by her. The Night She Disappeared is by far her best book though and for some reason I rarely hear people talking about it!

There were some great moments in Salt Grows Heavy I was just confused the entire time. I gave All the Sinners Bleed five stars. There is just something about SA Crosby's books that works for me!
I keep wanting to read Frankenstein but i cant get into it. but Barnes and Noble has a beautiful cover version and its taking so much self control to not buy it because i know i wont read it🤣
I don’t think All the Sinners Bleed is really so much a mystery as just a story to explore all the themes. The Vessel sounds intriguing! Lots of interesting books here!
With Frankenstein listen to it on audiobook. I had the same problem with Alice in Wonderland. Put on the audiobook and it flew past. I didn't enjoy it more on audiobook it just felt less like a punishment. I was determined to finish that book 🤣🤣
Ya, I started with The Night She Disappeared and it was a 4.5 for me. I find her books are hit or miss! All The Sinners Bleed was just okay for me, but I did love Razorblade Tears!
I was also pleasantly surprised by The Night She Disappeared because honestly the premise didn’t sound that interesting to me 😅 it is one my fave books this year! And my 2nd fave Lisa Jewell.
Then She Was Gone by Lisa Jewell. The ending crushed my soul. I can't fathom how could someone do that to a poor soul who doesn't really deserve it is :(
Frankenstein was definitely dull but I am glad I read it. I loved reading from the monsters perspective because in the movies he’s basically this grunting mute creature. The writing was not my thing though. So many classics are too much tell not enough show
I also did not connect with frankenstein. I'm much more intrigued by Mary Shelley herself or retellings of the story. Its just too old for me 😅 Dang I totally loved The Vessel bc of that cinematic and unique experience. But it makes sense you couldn't connect to the characters bc of that. I read the ritual by him too but did not like it as much. I actually didn't like the characters at all, but the end takes a totally different turn than the movie, which people either love or hate. I'm in the minority that liked the second half more than the first half 😂
I tried Frankenstein in October too for Halloween. I've never read anything that's so melodramatic (esp how the characters talk) yet so boring at the same time.
