Back in the days of South Yorkshire Transport the 51 route was used to trail all sorts of contraptions. I remember as a kid, the disappointment when a regular bus rocked up to take you into town.
Sounds very different to a standard Electroliner! It would be lovely for them to convert older buses like the Gemini 2s to give them a life extension, being the fantastic vehicles they are.
I'm surprised they didn't get the USB chargers as part of a refurb. This is pretty much standard on most buses now days. First have also missed out the wood effect flooring.
The following 35152 has arrived back at Leicester after its transfer to Worcester last year to be also converted being renumbered to 70101 Our SK16s 35189 to 35192 are currently off the road all awaiting conversions to be repainted to our green and renumbered from 70103 to 70108 We may potentially also be getting 35101 which has been with us for over a month, maybe also getting converted.
It looks really nice, definitely some differences there and hearing 14:58 I hope they've used flame seats, as well as the streetdecks that went up, 37447 sadly was cremated as well in the rioting, don't know about any other ex-Manchester ones that went as 447 was one that was seemingly often on the 59 I often take. Apart from that, I hope this one as well as any other conversions do last mechanically than they already have so far
Great Video. What a Good idea to Repower these buses
Excellent report ! This re-powered bus also looks really good, and hopefully many more will be converted.
good video 😊❤ 3:45 that bus has been diesel to ⚡️ electric ⚡️

And the 84 as well.
Just seen myself in this video
Did First say how many miles per charge these EV conversions can do?
Would they last a full days service? If not, how rapid is the charging?
My electroliners......
