The most unrealistic detail about this scene is the flight attendant delaying the departure time for Arthur. Would never happen.

I watch this episode over and over hoping Doug just gets on the goddam plane. Screw Arthur. He's a grown ass man. If he didn't want to get on the flight then leave him.
If Carrie would just let him go with deacon the whole thing wouldn't happen she forcing Doug hang out with Arthur which by the way he lives with and she can't handle handle be with Doug dad for couple hours
