Bought a similar unit from Amazon for £9, but it had a ribbon between the SD slot and the socket. Works extremely well and will be much easier - my KS2 slot was extremely tight.
On my KS1 removing the SD card is very difficult to remove. I think it is just manufacturing variation. Since most people are using a micro SD card, the easiest solution is probably to simply leave the SD to micro SD in the machine and take the micro SD card in and out.
Must be nice to have a Next, never mind 2 😂 I have the Divmmc Future which is perfect for the SD card, tap files etc on my Speccy plus 3. Great content dude 👍

Yeah I traded a QL that I wasn’t using for the KS1 but someone sold me their KS2 pledge. Plus 3 huh. Cool. The one with the floppy.
I found a micro sd version on Aliexpress, but the board was very cheap. I worried about breaking it when inserting or removing it.
Hi, What external SD card reader are you using and what port is it plugged into.
It is from activeconsult and connects internally to a header using a ribbon cable.
