As far as as Nazi Memorabilia, I'm sure there are some people who agree with that mindset, but at the same time it's all pieces of history. People don't get upset over museums displaying Nazi uniforms or equipment and Memorabilia, and a lot of historical collectors essentially set up their own miniature historical museums.
On the whole collecting memorabilia thing, ive met some people who collect it because it is an important part of man kinds history, even though none of them have ever had a beatle in their collection.
The most informative part of this video is that alicia just taught me that the jebaited meme came from someone named Alex Jebailey and idk why that's so funny to me.

As someone who collects general history memorabilia but also has a few Nazi items, it’s just cool stuff, I have not only things like Nazi pins and clothing, but also US army ribbons, pins, and clothing from that era as well. I don’t know the percentage but I know a lot of people collect just for the sake of history. That being said, that doesn’t mean that people who collect it because they support it don’t exist, they absolutely do.
A decent chunk of the nootzi memorabilia collectors are just historians and ww2 enthusiasts, and also a decent chunk of those arent limited to the german side of the war. Def some ppl that collect and agree with them tho

Naming stuff after yourself is at least nowadays considered the biggest possible no-no after trying to rename someone else's discovery. Most of the time the scientific name includes a person's name, they just named it after another earlier scientist in the same field.
I'm sure there is something that like them because of what they stood for but there are plenty that have them because of family passed down. Got to remember some soldiers captured SS officers and took very rare items from them especially their custom daggers and lugers which wouldn't be from normal production lines. It's honestly less creepy then the Pacific campaign they took Japanese soldier bones and carved them into knives and figurines and kept those.

Idk what it is in the case for the memorabilia collectors but for most cases of people like reenactors it’s the love of history and also the equipment can be cool due to either how they look or it’s level of engineering put into it that can also drive people to collect. From most I know it’s nothing to do with politics and really just simply its history and owning something from history is kinda kewl. Many collectors and reenactors I’ve seen have all sorts of stuff from not just ww2 Germany or even just ww2 stuff, but even Roman stuff or medieval stuff.

About the memorabilia collectors, it depends. Easiest way to distinguish between regular history enthusiasts and Nazi sympathizers is to look at the collection. If all they have is Nazi stuff they're sus, but if they have other stuff like Soviet and American uniforms, then they're just interested in the period. Plus WW2 Germany had some top tier drip! Nazis are the Earth's acne, but they had some really cool shit.

Memorabilia collector here. I don't agree with them in any way shape or form, but good god it looks cool. I don't only collect the "Austrian" things, I also collect Soviet era things, but the mass brown shirts have objectively cool looking things.
11:26 not necessarily although many do. I'm a military historian by trade, so I do occasionally collect pre-war German stuff (think Weimar), but I would collect WWII German stuff (not like utterly racist shit but like stamps or coins or other trinkets) if it wasn't for the horrible optics.
I'm late, but I collect memorabilia for the sake of historical interest. but also because most of the WW2 German stuff I have was handed down to me by my grandpa who brought it back after the war like the loot Goblin he is.

as far as the nzi memorabilia goes their stuff just looks cool. granted i'm a fan of all military gear and uniforms but for some reason the Nzi stuff just looks really clean and cool. i'm sure this is for psycological reasons since an army that looks well put together seems well trained even when they aren't. for instance the SS uniforms makes their organization look much more competent than they actually were.

About the scientists being egotistical, atleast for economics I can say taht while taht is the case sometimes, mostly it's just 'This guy formulated this method' For example, the Dickey Fuller test is a test of stationarity, but there are multiple ways to test for stationarity. So economists just called it Dickey Fuller after the two guys.
Most scientific names that are named after people are done after that person had died and is in honor of them. Not from egotism.
