Walking from Worth Matravers DORSET / Priest’s Way / Dancing Ledge to Winspit Quarry

We’re spending a few days exploring and enjoying all that Dorset has to offer, along the south coast of England.
On our first day, we park in the delightful village of Worth Matravers and hike along the Priest’s Way footpath, in search of dinosaur foot prints, before reaching Dancing Ledge. From here, we hike along the jurassic coast to Winspit Quarry, a place once alive with pirates and smugglers!

there might be no snow but Feb still looked cold from the way you were dressed, that was cool walking where the dinosaurs had been, very rugged coastline and the quarry caves were amazing to see and go into, overall very nice walkabout, cheers craig

Not the best of weather but still a great walk and a place I love. We used to holiday every year for 2 weeks stopping at my uncle and aunts house in Weymouth for years, always enjoyed it and we always seemed to get full sun every day - shame it was not there for you guys, cheers Alan

Hi both this was a great coast with lots of interesting things around this circular walk, and I agree being outside is good for the soul and free ! Woodhenge was fabulous and so was walking in dinosaur footprints! Loved the dry stone wall and the view where Elaine sat on the rock. The views on Priests Way were beautiful too. The quarry was amazing and the atmosphere in there must have been great and I agree, I don't know how it's all being held up by the pillars! Loved this and yoyr cup 😃👍 ~ Anna❤
