Like you....ten or so years ago, the big waves probably would have bothered me more than they do now. I think I figured out why......we just need to fish more! That blueberry muffin is the bomb! Another nice video, TJ! Fish on!
If you are running Bandits, spoons and harnesses all at the same time, then 2 of the 3 are probably at the wrong speed. In general, we usually do best with harnesses between 1.2-1.6 mph. Sometimes even slower. For Bandits, I am usually going between 1.5 - 2.5, depending on the water temp. If it is below 40 degrees, then I may go a bit slower than 1.5, but not always. Spoons are generally most effective in warm water at speeds between 2.5 and 3 mph. I rarely ever run spoons below 2.5. Not saying that you can't catch fish below 2.5, but they seem to be most effective fast. Therefore, I rarely ever run them at the same time. I am either running all cranks, all spoons or all harnesses. I am sure that there are exceptions out there, but that is what I have found to be most effective for me. Also, with Bandits, I have done best with chrome based patterns in sunny conditions. In low light conditions, your whites and bright solid colors are best, but when the sun comes out, it is hard to beat chromes, golds, etc. Nice video, thanks for posting. Cheers!
A TIP FOR YOUR KICKER RUN A SMALL TANK WITH GAS FOR IT AND WHEN YOU ARE DONE FOR THE DAY I ALWAYS DISCONNECT FUEL LINE AND RUN IT TILL IT STOPS. I USE TO KEEP FUEL LINE ON AND HAD PROBS AFTER A FEW YEARS. NOW I RUN IT DRY EVERY TIME IM DONE FISHING
You are right- always learning- I was thinking of you Friday as I was fishing an hour in far western basin and threw on a worm harness on 3 color leadcore- let it out and stuck on rod holder- bam- got 2 back to back 24” Is your leader off dipsy about 8’?
Going slower than 2mph does have an effect on how dipsy divers run. They actually would run deeper. For example, take your dipsy diver and make sure it is connected to your pole, if your boat is not moving at all then the dipsy diver would just sink to the bottom of the lake. You may have 50 feet of line out if you are in 50 feet of water. If you add little speed then the line angle changes and the dipsy diver will following behind the boat but higher. Hopefully this example helps.
You enjoy fishing by yourself it's seems like you wouldn't want to be out there 😉 like that but it do seem like 🤔 it's more safer than driving on the streets. Out there with GOD and fishing 🎣 🙏. Peace of mind.
I like fishing with others and fishing by myself. I typically don't know when I'm going until the evening before so it is hard a lot of times for others to make it out last minute. The weird thing is I told myself before I got a boat that I wouldn't go out by myself, then I said I would only stay close if I'm by myself, now I'm all over the place on the lake. Keep Fishing!
@KeepFishing I no you be all over the place you're last time out there wasn't you close to Canada waters. But I guess when you're out there you are just and GOD glory. I used to go on the Linda may on lake shore and catch all the jumbo perch and a few big Walleyes.
@KeepFishing it was so much fun I took all of my family my grandmother and my mother my wife and aunt my brothers we would go every weekend. But me and my wife went all the time. But we traveled all over bye she was and the military she retired from their my best friend gone but never forgotten 💔. It's not the same without her but my brothers and I still fish together.
TJ ... Where are you Man ??? 😀 You should be uploading videos of Big Ones 💯🎣👍
Randy there has been so much going on that I haven't been able to get out as much as I would like. This year seems to have more choppy days.
Damn that’s a hell of a day fishing
It was nice 👍🏽
As always nice video. Great content 😊
Glad you enjoyed the video! Fish On!

Sounds fun, I'll have to make a trip down someday! What's your favorite thing to fish for there?
Another great vid. Go get em!!

Thanks, I appreciate the advice! I'll have to experiment with different speed combinations you suggested 👍🏽

That's a great tip! I'll have to try that out.

Sounds like you had a great day! I'm glad you were thinking of me. My leader is right at 6 feet.
✌️😊🎣
What's the word Randy? You gotta tell me how to catch the big one this year :)
@@KeepFishingI could..... And you'd win . But you wouldn't listen 💯😆🎣✌️ I'll be Winning the Derby next year . Mark my words 👍🎣💯✌️
Sometimes dipsys dont dive right under 2 mph
They may have been running high going that slow

@KeepFishing thank you for the info I appreciate it . I've been doing it backwards 🤦
It's all good man. Keep Fishing
Hey, what's up TJ? Are you using planner boards and dipsy divers?
I was using both this day.
