I've been looking for a wide body method that didn't involve a dozen cans of spray foam and a cheese grater! Sticks hot glue and tape. Very smart!! Thanks for explaining the process.
Really good job! Also really cool kit build, almost like a Mattias Ekström DTM Redbull Audi style... pretty new on the canal havnt seen the start of the build... will come to that but for now this is plenty.... Question, IF I want to do a quick mold of my front fender... Can you/me use a big plastic bag , and put the fender inside and take polyester resin an glasfiber mat on let it dry and the fiberglased "fender" will release from my original fender....(O yes put moldrelisent or wax to release from the plastic bag).... Maybe asking your self why not use tape and aluminium folie.....? Quick is the key im after.... Nicely done and worked, have to say that you really taking the explaining to another level, down to the novist level thats really nice! Thinking of being a teacher in the area, or maybe already are?
I used to have a stage 2+ 2016 Audi S4 and had always dreamed of going wide body on it. Spent prob $15,000 on mods including wheels & air suspension and performance upgrades. Not including labor lol. Would love to see you do this on a S4 B8.5.
@Brunodu68 Everything is under the fiberglass, but I'm only using these parts to take molds. Then I'll remove all of this stuff and trash it. Make new parts in high quality materials from the molds.
I am using the stuff on the car now to make molds and then make new carbon fiber parts from the molds. I don't know if I'll sell kits though. It takes a lot of modifications to make these wheels / tires fit. 335-25-20's all around.
The problem I see you're gonna have on the back door is when you park right next to someone and they too close you're not gonna be able to open the back door it's like I don't like about my Mustang the door is so wide I can't have no one park right next to Me
Gaaaawd daaaamn this thing has came a long ass way and it looks so much better then I imagined it was going to at the start

Now drive a 2021 BMW 540i xDrive. Has a lot better infotainment and technology in it over my 2016 Audi S4.

Thanks for sharing! What brand of cordless file sander and pneumatic plain sander are you using?
The palm sander is a dynabrade, it was pretty expensive, but the cordless sander is made by WEN. It works great, and was on like $60.
Look s nice
What happend to the wood stix For the fenders ?
Does the fiber stick to the carosserie ?

@stealthbuilt1 ok thank you mate :-)
Is this going to be a kit or is this a one off ??????
probably one off!

What you thinking for final color?
@enriqueshockwave Probably the same red, but I'm thinking about a race car inspired livery with my company logo in ot.
Dark red 😮😮
British racing green
is it strong?
How many years have you been building this project?
only like 8 ish months lol I think
