I have been digging for a long time to get my ssi disability check and got it three years ago. I have been working for myself for years, but, I had made some money saling candy cups and baskets for all seasons while in college when my daughter was a baby. Now, Im at a stand still again and working towards opening a business with doing so for the last three years. Inhave several certificates while in this shelter eight now.

I've never had that perspective as your grandmother. I'm a white guy who grew up on a small farm very poor but fair. Dad was in W2 Mom was in MASH unit Korea. We never looked at anyone because of race but how we were respectfully to one another. We used to drop off our catch after fishing to big wally and I remember the pure joy and laughter in those moments. We helped each other to just live and now I'm 51. I didn't know how happy I felt.
To admit, the environment has a serious impact on people's life. Thank God for your environment, my dear brother, if you were in my environment, properly you would stay in a bad situation.

Mr. Perry, I am a 36 year cancer survivor and chemotherapy patient. I was diagnosed at 32. As of now I am a father of 3, 14 old daughter, 10 son and a 22 month old son. I grew up a great child with good grades and my parents divorced. I took the worse of it and found the word starving as a part of my life because I would give my siblings the food and I would starve. I was a smart kid, 4.2 pretty much everywhere I went. I dropped out of school to take care of my siblings.

I wish that I could meet you in person to shake your hand & get a hug from you bc you have inspired me & so many other ppl of all colors what you have been through & how you survived & share your life & history with us. i know that our Lord & savior Jesus Christ is the one that kept picking you up & giving you the strength & knowledge to keep going & be who you are today. this life is so hard & sometimes you don't think that you cant keep going anymore but Jesus is right there by our side holding us up & if we ask Him to, He will take us the way He wants us to go. as for myself, if He doesn't want me to have or do something then I don't want it. Praise God!! oh by the way, I have white skin.

Then the husband commited suicide, after 14 years of fighting a divorce.
the windfall was unbelievable
Who would have ever thought, that I would be financially ok with my life.

I'm white but face many of same challenges, judgements, hateful glares, comments, as black Americans. I was forced into living in van 2021 still to this day. The treatment from others that put their pants on one leg at a time as me are unbelievably hateful! God bless everyone. Heaven will not be separated!
