Great job Rick!!! An amazing job you’ve done on that integrale, I bet that red colour gave you a bit of grief ... still you’ve done a great job! Hats off sir!!👍👍👌🏻👌🏻
I will give full credit where it is due. Zaino was the product line that really turned my interest in detailing into a passion. They were the first line I learned about that utilized sealant technology. I like the GSF a lot. It is a toss up for me right now between the GSF and the Fireball Foam. They are both on the wetter, runnier side, but I'm getting used to that.
Aren't we all begging for a paint correction? 😉 I think Nick will be back in due time. It's the middle of winter right now and I'm working my full-time teacher gig, so I don't have the time necessary to fully correct this paint. Maybe Spring Break or Summer Break.

I think Nick will entrust me with this car for a deep and thorough detail at some point. Until then, he is working on improving other aspects of it. You can hear him explain here: th-cam.com/video/03UkI0Ix8xw/w-d-xo.html
What a special car. I've only ever seen two, one of which was owned by an ex Lancia mechanic on the rally team. I just wished you had done the interior as well.
I may do a full interior/exterior detail in the future. You can catch a glimpse under the bonnet and inside here: th-cam.com/video/03UkI0Ix8xw/w-d-xo.html
Pretty unique car. Great job on the detail!! Those wheels would drive me crazy trying to keep them clean. I was curious, I noticed you using the Koch Chemie foam. How do you like it? How does it perform compared to other products? It looks like the foam is pretty thick and sticks to the paint. Thanks again for sharing this unique car detail. I look forward to watching your videos.
Those wheels were no match for my brush arsenal. I do like the Koch Chemie foam. Like most of the foams I have tried lately, it isn't the same thickness that I'm used to. These wet foams like the Fireball are really good, but they are not as thick as I am used to. They cling nicely once they are applied.
It doesn't get winter use. It is stored close by and the weather has been very mild here with dry roads, so we decided to awaken it from its slumber for a day of spoiling.
Hi Rick, thanks for the close up from the IK sprayer head unit. I was able to see the color of the mixer piece. Unfortunately, it is different than the one I have here. Thanks anyway!
Nice wash Rick, but that poor paint needs some buffing and a good coating of something with some hydrophobic protection. The SiO2 spray was a start. I could literally hear the paint saying "ahhhh" while you were applying it!!
All in good time. Nick has a few more fish to fry before we commit to a full and complete detail. He is considering a respray but hasn't made up his mind yet.
Great job on that iconic car. Was the paint even bad ? I seen a couple of RIDS but nothing serious. Again love the garage and your videos brother. I wish my boys teachers were this cool....lol
It's better than I have seen on cars much newer. There are a few concern areas, but 95% of this paint would clean up perfectly. There are some random paint depths according to my gauge, but I am hoping we will do a full correction/polish at some point. I would need more than a weekend because I am notoriously slow at paint.
I just kind of go where life takes me. I don't know my codes for the M3, but I think the e30 is my favourite if I am not mistaken. (Hits Google and comes back) Yup, that's the one I love most. In white. I had a few posters and clippings from car magazines on my walls when that one came out.
Need a cordless drill and a cone shaped brush with an drill attachment, for those wheels. 😆 Very rare car. Great job. Very relaxing. Almost fell asleep. 😆 Great camera work! I'm waiting to see you detail a 1970 buick GSX! WOULD LOVE THAT! When you rinse off foam, start from top down.... Didn't understand the way you did it...
Thanks John. I would love to get some American muscle into the garage at some point. I go top up with the foam rinse because otherwise the foam has been rinsed away before I get down there with the pressure washer.

Well, he doesn't normally drive it in the winter. He stores it close to me and the roads here are actually very dry and clean at the moment if you can believe it. I had a free weekend and we thought it would be cool to feature it on the channel for my viewers. I think it as a real hit!
So, it's taking me a little time getting used to the wetter, runnier foams, but I do like how effective they are. The GSF and Fireball are now tied for my favourites of these less thick formulations. The Adam's Mega Foam and Ethos Foam Party are my favourite thick, dry foams.
Rick, I’m new to this and I’m trying to learn as much as possible. In this video, why didn’t you use Iron Remover at the wheels, and/or on the paint? Also, would you normally add a sealant (spray or otherwise) to the wheels? Thanks. Fantastic video production.
Great questions. It all comes down to how intense I want to be with each project. This was simply a maintenance wash. If I use the Iron remover I end up using the clay, if I use the clay I end up polishing...and this was just a nice wash. You'll see in my more complete detail projects the use of an iron remover and clay bar for the decon stage. I don't apply a sealant on the wheels. I could, but I prefer to apply a proper ceramic coating for wheels and this project, again, was just a maintenance wash. Thanks for the questions and I hope you'll continue to visit my channel.
Great work and video dude! How did you like the Koch chemie GSF? It’s not your traditional snow foam most are used to, it’s kinda runny but I feel it does exactly what it’s supposed to by moving the grit and contamination off the vehicle, and it smells amazing to top it all off!
Exactly the same impressions on my side. It’s not a super thick foam, but as long as it settles into the nooks and crannies when being pressure washed, it achieves the purposes of a foam pre-wash. It makes my Top 5 foam list. 1. Adam’s Mega Foam 2. Ethos Foam Party 3. Gyeon Q2M Foam 4. Koch Chemie GSF 5. Fireball Snow Foam
The owner is still contemplating whether to correct this paint or just go with a full respray. There will be some tricky and sensitive areas on this paint. It's got some history. A full respray would be amazing imo.
Yes. If you were to pressure wash the foam off the roof first, the foam on the lower portions would be washed away before you could hit it with the pressure washer. By moving upwards, you ensure you are forcing the soap AND water into the gaps, creases, and crannies thereby rendering the foam stage effective as opposed to being an elaborate waste of time.
No, I applied a layer of Lithium's new SiO2 spray called "Ignite" to give the paint some pop and slickness, but it is pretty much raw paint. Maybe it'll be back when I have the time to do a proper polish and coating.
@@RADGarage a 28 year iconic car deserves to look its best even if it gets used daily or weekends or just summer. It's in such good condition its a shame not to.....
So, I diluted the Adam's all-in-one Wheel & Tire Cleaner 50:50. The sprayer I use is not a foaming sprayer, rather a regular IK sprayer that, when you pump it up, results in a bubbly mixture of cleaner and water. I linked it in the description. Nice little unit.
Now that’s something you don’t see everyday. Well done!

Raw paint on this one. For now...
Perfect 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Glad you like it!
What a car
I'm missing it.
Great job, Rick! I would have tapped out on those rims. Probably took you 30 minutes for each tire.
They looked like more work than they were. At least they weren't caked in brake dust.
@@RADGarage Gotcha.

Haha! Great Doug intro.
That car is a beast !
How are those tyres going on the snow, though ?
Well, he doesn't normally drive it in the winter. He stores it close to me and the roads here are actually very dry and clean at the moment if you can believe it. I had a free weekend and we thought it would be cool to feature it on the channel for my viewers. I think it as a real hit!
Awesome job, Rick. How are you liking the GSF Snow Foam in comparison to the Fireball Snow Foam?
So, it's taking me a little time getting used to the wetter, runnier foams, but I do like how effective they are. The GSF and Fireball are now tied for my favourites of these less thick formulations. The Adam's Mega Foam and Ethos Foam Party are my favourite thick, dry foams.
Beautiful 😻 !
Thank you! 😊
My god my god such a car
It really is remarkable.
JUST SAY ITS A CLASSIC ITALIAN CAR :)
I couldn't have said it better myself!
1. Adam’s Mega Foam
2. Ethos Foam Party
3. Gyeon Q2M Foam
4. Koch Chemie GSF
5. Fireball Snow Foam
@@RADGarage great to know your line up order, I’ve never tried ethos or any of the fireball products, but will definitely look into trying them.
I certainly find them all satisfying to use.
Love the car shame it didnt get a complete paint correction it would have been amazing.
The owner is still contemplating whether to correct this paint or just go with a full respray. There will be some tricky and sensitive areas on this paint. It's got some history. A full respray would be amazing imo.
Love~
🙏
Is there some benefit to rinsing by starting from the bottom and then going up to the roof!?
That was sweet!
Is the car coated?
No, I applied a layer of Lithium's new SiO2 spray called "Ignite" to give the paint some pop and slickness, but it is pretty much raw paint. Maybe it'll be back when I have the time to do a proper polish and coating.
😍
Also could use a paint correction for sure.. has the customer thought about that?
It would look sensational with those swirls gone... the Italians do incredible red's
I would love to perform a correction/polish on this car in the future. Perfect paint isn't something the owner is obsessed with. We'll see...
@@RADGarage a 28 year iconic car deserves to look its best even if it gets used daily or weekends or just summer. It's in such good condition its a shame not to.....
@@RADGarage well he’s gotta a point those cars are worth more money with original patina
The owner has a few other balls in the air, but it will get a pampering at some point.
Hey rick what nozzle and dilution do you use on your wheel foamer i like this
So, I diluted the Adam's all-in-one Wheel & Tire Cleaner 50:50. The sprayer I use is not a foaming sprayer, rather a regular IK sprayer that, when you pump it up, results in a bubbly mixture of cleaner and water. I linked it in the description. Nice little unit.
@@RADGarage thanks bro
