I just subscribed and it’s nice to meet you Darren. I just bought the NiSi V7 kit and was very happy when I watched your instructional video here. It helped a lot. Thank you very much and I’ll be watching your videos from here on.

Great review buddy, clear concise and considered. The new locking mechanism is a leap forward from V6 which 'digs in' to the adaptor ring a little and leaves tiny scratches, only cosmetic but I like this new method. Excellent little vid D 🙏🙏🙏

Thank you very much Jim !! The v6 looked good too !! I like the turning knob for the polarizer .. seems it will be an interesting addition to my bag for woodland times in 2022

That is a fine filter system, Darren. I use Haida filters and I like them a lot. Just a personal touch. It works for me.

    You do good reviews.
Years back I bought a 95mm protection filter.
It had problems Nisi have great customer service, I was impressed they sent me a new one straight out.
Sadly filter put me off trying other products of theirs.

Looks like a few nice improvements. I’ve been using the V5 system for a few years. Great review. No colour cast on these filters which is great.

Hi Darren, a great review! Glass is definitely an advantage, but not only because of scratches, also the coating is usually better than with plastic. So, cool that it is out of glass. The lens cap is a great idea. Just the lens hood is missing. Just kidding, I guess it would need to be quite big to get the entire filter system in :)
All in all it really looks after a great filter systems. Thanks a lot for sharing,
    Christian

Super review Darren. I love this system. If I have any complaint, and I hope that NiSi will perhaps address it on a future V8 but there are times when it feels like the control gears to move the CPL are really small. In most cases it's not noticeable but when I'm in cold conditions and wearing thick gloves, it is very fiddly.
But I do love the CPL bayonet mounting. It is so much quicker and stress free that the classic thread yet at the same time feels more secure than the magnetic CPLs I see a lot of other brands adopting.
A year later, how do you feel?

    • @DarrenJSpoonley

I would agree with you on the size of the dial for sure !! I’ve just picked up a set of kase revolution and the manger if and ease of use has been great so far

Happy with my 82mm Kase Magnetic Sysrem and my 77mm Hoya Range with the Full Lee System as back up for all 6/7 cameras and both systems so good to hear NISI have a good system but I am happy with my own thanks. F
