An older version of the Logan, 1.6 Petrol from 2008. Bought new, LPG since new. 300.000 miles (miles not km) later, as a TAXI in Romania, the engine is problem free. And very cheap to service/parts
My father have Dacia logan 1.4+GPL 2011 with 400000 km. There is a Dacia Logan 2005 in Romania at taxi with 1mil km. Renault and France in general i think they make the best engines in the world. And remember that Dacia owners don't use the best fuel or oil. They use the cheapest maintenance, or even no maintenance. The only problem of the old models is the rust.
You can blame dacia for lack of refinement but they are durable and built to get the job done. Taxis in Romania use older generation of Logan with so many miles on the clock and poorly serviced for saving money. You cannot beat Dacia in value for money and reliability. Yes I drive one. Diesel.
Nice product placement there, Clifford! Dacia, er Datcha, should be paying you for this one. I'll remember your hilarious corrections for years, every time I see a Dacia. Thanks for the review.
They have brought out the step way version of this car, looks nice .ive sub, nice to find.a someone, doing honest reviews s of normal cheap but very practical cars, not hyper space cars with out of this world prices.🏴🚗👍
just subscribed to your account buddy ive had my logan for nearly 2 years now and has got 23000 on it i got it on pcp plan but definately buying it after the plan is over ..its a great wee motor .. also my wife has bought the stepway she loves it .. very informative vlog buddy
In Romania they did a mess with the LPG version, it’s available on the Ambiance and Laureate trims but not on the Prestige or Stepway trims and also not available with the Easy-R tranny.
I like these sincere reviews over the sometimes unreliable reviews from Carwow etc: these are great but you've got to take them with a pinch of salt...they say crap like "the dashboard plastic is rough"...(it's perfectly soft and nice to my touch), "don't expect a nice agent at the dealer", "my back was aching after the test ride".... Think of it: I would pay £3,000 for a car that is a bit more silent and luxurious, but not double the price! this car has cost me literally half the price of a basic Volkswaggen Passat. Then add the insurance (roughly £300 less) and replacing parts (cheaper too).
Yeah a lot of car reviewers don't live in the real world. Plus they get the privilege of being given the cars they test for free. I have to actually buy, rent or take advantage of any 24hr test drive offers.
Hi mate, how much is the valve lube and how often/miles do you need to top it up? Also, in my experience warped discs are caused by big stops and none release of brake pedal, for example, you come off motorway, go from 70 to 0 , brakes red hot, you keep your foot on brake pedal , this stops heat dissipating which in turn warps your discs. Great/ informative video by the way. 👍👍
+Michael Davidson the lube kit was an extra £250 on top of the standard LPG conversion. It costs about £15 to top up with the valve lube and I need to do this around every 3500 miles. You can get the valve lube off eBay for around £20 litre. I recomend using the JML branded stuff.
10p a mile on lpg is about 55mpg equivalent diesel prices. Which is about 15% better than a diesel in town. £9 for 150miles is very cheap, about 90mpg diesel equivalent or 50% better.
The dacia, i mean DACIA, isnt really the car you want, is the car you need and you dont need more really, im still choosing between dacia mcv lpg or a citroen c elysee diesel both are almost the same price idk what to get.
Great reviews. I finally got a Logan TCE 90 from Dacia and am very pleased with my first 200mi ride from the dealer yesterday.
Great to hear!

Cheers! Yeah mine is coming up to 50k miles, mostly on LPG and is still going strong!

Would Recommend it though, just for general life use or Business use?

I'm thinking of buying a 2016 Dacia logan 1.5 dci are they reliable engines?
Do you mean Dacia

Hi , who has done the lpg conversion for your Dacia ?
The dacia, i mean DACIA, isnt really the car you want, is the car you need and you dont need more really, im still choosing between dacia mcv lpg or a citroen c elysee diesel both are almost the same price idk what to get.
what mpg do you get in this motor sir ,looks good
Hello, how much does it cost the LPG convertion itself?
Mine cost just over a £1k coz I opted for the valve lube system to protect the engine.
Clifford Rutley thanks mate, great review.
What petrol engine have you got? Any interior rattles, servicing etc?
0.9 tCe petrol engine. Not had to use the warrenty yet. No rattles. Servicing is around £150-£200 a go from Dacia.
That's the engine I'm interested in. Thanks for the reply.
Simon Hammond i recomend taking the 1.5 l dci engine if u wana go long trips and hit 200 km/h
Do you know which brand of lpg system you had installed?
You'd have to ask my installers: bewickmobility.co.uk/lpg
When you doing 70 mph on motorway is it around 4k rews ?
Only when I leave it in 4th instead of 5th gear.
Clifford Rutley so on 5 gear it is
Clifford Rutley looking to buy used one 2014 model with 0.9 but not sure if its good idea
No more risky than buying any other 4 year old car.
No.
How many miles it have ?
Just past 40k.
+Ste fan none.
