- As of August 2022, the remaining 6400-series Nova LFS have gradually been officially retired from CTA service due to the new 8350-series 2022 Nova buses going into action. Not only that retirement of the 6400-series is complete retirement of the 1000-series New Flyer D40LF buses will begin soon as buses 8450-8549 arrive sometime in late 2022 to mid 2023. Enjoy the 3 minute video I have made premiering this Friday at 6 P.M.
Man this had me in tears. Fly high Nova's, we'll miss you, we'll always love you very much. Until we meet again.
Same here CTA won’t be the same without them
@@windycitytransit4054 no sir it won't. I know they're in heaven giving Kobe Bryant and his 13 year old daughter plenty of rides.
Gonna miss you it's been 20 years🙏❤️😭
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Falwell
It's just so hard saying goodbye to something you love.
Love the #146 bus
74th Garage 77th Garage Archer Garage Rip to that Garage and Chicago Garage and Forest Glen had them then 103rd and North Park used them last summer tail end of them
Aye, they did
Wouldn't it be cool if CTA made a replica of these guys? You know to keep the memories alive.
Yessir, especially with the tiny CTA bus replicas that be at parades you’ll see the one with “6400” this gives me vibes
@@windycitytransit4054 perhaps it should have openable doors
6472 is still alive and well…
6440 Retired in 2015
The average service life of transit buses, like these Novas, is usually 20 years according to an episode of How It's Made.
That makes me feel sad because there was my faith in me
Dang, I can't believe its been a year since these guys have been retired.
Shit, I just remembered they retired.
It's so hard saying goodbye to something you love man.
Gone but never forgotten, until we meet again, rest in heaven 6400's.
No tears for retired NABIs, more like good riddance.
I mean I still miss them despite their problems.
