I'm with you Miles, the new Grand Wagoneer is very impressive but from the sideview I would prefer a slight reworking of the pillars. Usually on large vehicles designers try to minimize the thickness of the roof pillars to lighten the overall appearance of the greenhouse. That makes the vehicle seem less ponderous, eliminating the "school bus" effect. Jeep took the opposite approach and emphasized the pillar thickness on the Grand Wagoneer as a mark of distinction. Overall, I think the Grand Wagoneer is a magnificent achievement. Thank you, Miles.

I got to see a Wagoneer in person They did not have a Grand Wagoneer. I have driven the new Escalade and the 2021 Navigator. I do like the looks of the new Grand Wagoneer in person. It is something you need to see in person. I was surprised how good it looked with the Black Diamond Peal Coat and black interior.

The 2022 Navigator is upgrading their driving experience but none available to try. Also the turbo lag is not great but lots of power. So we shall see.

Jeep did an excellent job with this vehicle. Very well done. I'm not a fan of the automatic running boards as its potentially one more area to have issues and, frankly, it would look more balanced / muscular would a good looking integrated fixed running board. Otherwise, quite sharp.

I haven't driven the 2022 Navigator, but I did drive the 2021 and find the Wagoneer to have the nicer cabin, better sounding engine and greater performance. Ride quality in the Navigator is similar to the GW. I'd take the Jeep.
Does anyone know if the Grand Wagoneer has autonomous driving. I test drove an Escalade with Supercruise. That would be one thing that would give the Slade and edge.
@@michaelb3309 You really think Wagoneer is good enough to compare? To be fair, I do have a bias against Jeep, I don't exactly consider them made for comfort or reliable. My friends have complained about the comfort of the Wrangler and many of my family members wailed about the constant need to take their Cherokees to the shop. The Wagoneer is definitely impressive, especially the technology, but I don't trust that price gap between Lx570 or the Navigator and the Wagoneer. Is it really worth it? Thanks for sharing your first hand experience, I outta be more open-minded to Jeep.

@@HoldthisL257 That's what I was thinking, not only does it have me skeptical of its capabilities and reliability its just a much safer option to choose the established good luxury SUVs, not only that but the public image you would reflect on the public by buying those SUVs is significantly more attractive than the Jeep.
@Dylan Davis well I am their target audience. Own an Escalade. Drove the new Navigator and seen the new Grand Wagoneer. The Escalade has been very expensive to own. Have you ever owned one? This is our second. Not cheap but love it otherwise. I was going to buy the 2022 Navigator but issues and role out I don’t like. Will buy a fully loaded Grand Wagoneer and will let you know how it goes.
The 23-speaker Macintosh sound system doesn’t have nearly as precise or crisp of a sound, nor the level of clarity as the upgraded 36-speaker AKG Studio Reference sound system in the. I don’t even think this is on par with the quality of the 19-speaker AKG sound system in the Cadillac Escalade.
Honestly can you imagine a EV performing like this? The battery would be done for in about 150 miles! Additionally no tow vehicle with batteries can do 10k lbs!
The new GW is impressive, but the Escalade is much quieter on the road. You should do a side by side plus drive of both '22 top models, i think the caddy wins by a hair ( looks and ride comfort) the escalades 10 speed tranny is much smoother as well, but the GW is to be reckoned with.
Own last generation. Drove the new one with Magnetic ride control. The seats are not very comfortable at all for that money. The interior of the Grand Wagoneer is much nicer than the Escalade. Also I wanted the second row with a console. Escalade is either two caption or a bench. We currently have the bench. Nice but the Navigator and the Grand Wagoneer second row is way nicer.

Pricey, for sure. To Michael's point (and mine in the video), adding any options puts the GW, Escalade, and Navi very close to one another in price.
