For me it's the best scene in the entire show. Heartwarming when we see two best friends back together and very funny. But it's not a silly joke. Doing something like this requires intelligence and knowledge of the subject/object.
Moreover, in this scene no one makes fun of someone getting hurt like in many scenes with Ross when he really suffered but writers decided to try to make it funny.
I wish there were more scenes like this one in the show.
