What I love about this song, is that when he says “Take me back to Eden” the first 3 times it almost sounds like an extreme cry of desperation or a hard beg like a child who wants to go home. But at the end it becomes a command.
I'm pretty sure that the song is about domestic abuse and how it's starts off nice and light which is the beginning of a relationship, then as it gets heavy the relationship breaks down and gets aggressive
Yeah, this whole album is a tearjerker... it's not easy to make me cry because heavy phases of anxiety and depression made me become almost "un-cryable", but I cried rivers when listening to this album. Little hint: When you are about to react to "Euclid", please listen to "The Night Does Not Belong To God" first. If you wonder why, you will understand after following my hint.
I've listened to Sleep Token long enough and watched more than my fair share of reaction videos, and I believe that's given me the superpower of knowing exactly when this band has worked its way into someone's soul. The moment you closed your eyes at the start, that was it. It's best to just submit to it. Sleep Token is too strong to fight. They may be in your top 20 now, but I'm sticking around to watch them climb the charts. Also, I was stunned to hear your analysis and how many of the overarching themes you nailed. There's a whole complex lore behind the band and their music, so it's impressive to see someone pick pieces of the story up in a single listen. Great job. I'm also an empath and I swear to you it's the commonality between everyone in the fanbase. This band makes you feel something and we're wired to receive those feelings. Keep doing Sleep Token and we'll keep showing up, that's for sure. And pause as much as you like! I think a lot of reaction channels just starting out get thrown off by people complaining about pausing, but those people don't stick around anyway. Any subscriber of value watches videos like this one for the analysis. I've heard this song a million times by now, but I never tire of hearing and watching people's reactions to it. Your video could be 5 minutes or 50 minutes and I guarantee we'll be here to watch every second. Looking forward to the next one, and sorry for the novel!
I was wondering if you could do me a favor?! Since you wrote the longest comment and shared with me the most info about the band, so you think you could write me up a list of there songs that I should react to in order?! ❤️
@@BriBeeReacts Of course! One thing you might consider is starting at the beginning of the Sundowning album and going in order all the way through the Take Me Back to Eden album. There's a story being told across three albums, but I don't find that it's linear so you can jump around if you'd like instead. Here's my list. I tried to give you as much variety up front as possible, but you can really pick any of their songs at any time and you can't lose. There's not a bad track anywhere. Anyway, here's a list for ya: Chokehold, The Summoning, Ascensionism, Alkaline, Blood Sport (from the room below version), Hypnosis, The Apparition, Higher, Atlantic, Like That, Jaws, High Water, The Love You Want, Aqua Regia, Hey Ya (Cover), Nazareth, Rain, When the Bough Breaks, The Night Does Not Belong to God, Euclid, The Offering - and once you get there, you can go anywhere! I'm sure I'm going to get blasted for leaving out a song or two, but for real, listen to it all. It's so good. Enjoy! Can't wait to watch!
Ah, Sleep Token. That's quite the uhhh... rabbit hole you've stumbled upon. Fair warning, it goes deeeeeeeep. But it's so worth it. Glad you found them. 😊
@BriBeeReacts if you're not going to start right at the beginning then may I suggest a Sleep Token song that's very rarely reacted to......When the bough breaks from the "One EP".
the songs is about, simply put, depression. going more in depth, it's about the world and how the world sucks nowadays. the world is a terrible place and we're always at each other's throats. back in the time of Eden, it was so much more beautiful, calm, and everyone was nice to each other, but that all changed when Eve took the fruit of knowledge, which is why there's this, almost "death" fallen angel holding an apple on the screen.
Thanks for your channel. You didn't talk too much and what you said was lovely. I see the Sleep Token fans have found you. It is addicting to watch reactions because it helps us relive our first experience. Since you've heard so much about the band may I add a bit? (My niece showed me this band. I'm 63 and I've been married for over 30 years. The first sounds I remember is Ella Fitzgerald singing. Today when I relive memories they are always accompanied by music. I hear 70s music very much in Sleep Token.) Vessel is a poet who can sing and make music, but he's a poet like in the Irish tradition. He uses songs to tell one story, the story of his great love for a girl who he wants to share his life with. He's faithful in his imagery and he uses classics references like Eden honestly. Eden gets confused with Paradise but it's so much more than that. Adam had to leave Eden when he became aware of sin which equals death. His desire is to undo whatever it is he's been doing. This song in particular is foreshadowing what you will find in other songs. It starts with them being equally adrift with no guidance through the dangers. She is not just a fire, she's a funeral pyre to which he is drawn and will die upon. His rap signals an awakening from that dreamlike state. He has had the bad end of their encounter and that puts him at risk of people he doesn't trust. A Godmother is someone who, along with a Godfather, sees to the spiritual growth of a young person. Usually closely related. A Godparent exemplifies the ideal adult version of what children should aspire to be. He thinks he's demeaned himself or his lover in such a way that his female spiritual guide should take notice. I think he's ashamed. I agree with everything you say at this point. I would only add that what 'it' is, is significant because it's no longer 'she'. Is it their relationship? Is it a part of her that he cannot get past? He's pinpointed the problem. I also agree that the dissonance and screaming at the end denote the emotions that this decision brings him. NF is amazing, by the way. Have you seen 'Til the Day I Die with Tobymac? "How you doing work when you wonder where the couch at?" I haven't kept up with all his releases but he's such a good lyricist. The Bee!! I forgot to look because I was sucked into your video. Rewatching this right now and I every time I do I feel like I’m listening to it for the first time. So painful and beautiful tbh. But wrenching EVERYTIME the chorus hits omg
Take me back to Eden has easily became my favorite song and album of all time, when i told my childhood friend that he was in complete shock. I have an expansive music vocabulary, I collect vinyl and CDs, i listen to just about every genre, and not "everything" like most people say, but "EVERYTHING". From classical, to Metal, to Outlaw Country, to Hair Metal, Rap, classic rock, progressive rock, dad rock, bluegrass, Grunge, you name it I probably listen to it. I have very high standards when it come to calling something my "favorite" of all time, usually nothing post 2000s is anywhere near my all time greats list, but this band, particularly this album and song has reached #1. Its been so long since music has made me emotional like this, ive grown numb to most things in life, but this album was like an electrical shock to my senses, it woke something in me that music hasn't made me feel in years. Now I consider myself a Sleep Token "apologist" and have been slowly converting all my friends and family to witness the majesty and ascendance their music exumes.
The “sea of glass” connection is awesome; you’re going to have to listen to the whole discography for metaphors of water, the depths, drowning, the ocean, etc. and realize just how much meaning is couched in your keen insight.
So a little lore about the band. The lead singer is named Vessel. He has only ever given one interview and stated the following. "We are here to serve Sleep and project His message." When asked about Sleep, he stated that "He is everywhere, at all times. Vessel encountered Sleep in a dream, with promise of glory and magnificence if Vessel followed Him." The music across the albums are his relationship and struggles with this god. The identity of the band members is completely hidden as well which just adds to the band imo. I think you'd really enjoy the song The Love You Want and Fall For Me. I think you'd enjoy the visuals of the music videos of these songs too.
Not about giving up. He's gone too far and wishes he could reset. But it's too late. The theme of the album is pretty dark and we can read our own lives and problems into the songs, I know I do. But the basic theme is summed up in Vore....here, Google is your friend.
Congrats on taking the blue pill, no going back anymore! Enjoy their collection , looking forward to your interpretation because you showed me a new side to the lyrics here that I didn’t think about here
Loved the reaction! Sleep Token has so many bangers. You can't go wrong with picking any of them. I have my favorites, but they are all very good. The love you want is a great video. Chokehold is actually referenced in the song you just listened to TMBTE. It's a call back at the end. "When we were made it was no accident. We were tangled up like branches in a flood." This band is next level.
I love watching people hear this song for the first time. I discovered Sleep Token this year after this album came out, and I've since gone through their entire discography. They're so talented, and i hope you enjoy more of their music.💜
Thank you. Always nice to see someone's genuine reaction to this song. Great insight to the lyrics. Because I know the story behind this song it was really cool to get someones raw reaction and it actually made the lyrics make more sense to the story for me. you earned a sub from me young lady. keep up the good work. :)
This song is a complete emotionally journey, moments of ups and downs, tears, anger, acceptance, yearning oh god... and is just your first song, can wait to see your own journey with this band, check Bloodsport,The love you want,Fall for me, Missing Limbs,DYWTYLM,there is a whole lore about their albums,so if you listen to their hole discography you definitely understand the meaning about this song and why Euclid is one of the best song that they composed
Welcome to your Sleep Token journey! Highly suggest having the lyrics when you react, it'll make more sense as the song goes along, cause Vessel is always deep and poetic.
I'm usually not fan of too much pausing but I really love how you break down the lyrics! Ohhh you just fell into the rabbit hole of sleep token. Excited to see your reaction to the album! Im sure you'll love it! Keep it up, I subscribed!
This one song is so rich, varied, it feels like a whole album by itself. It truly is a masterpiece. And yes, I don't cry easy but this one and Euclid is among the very rare songs that can make me cry (Hurt by Johnny Cash is also a strong contender) I loved your reaction and deep analysis of that song it was very genuine, great job ;)
What bugs me about reactors who pause frequently is that they almost never actually pay attention or comment in meaningful ways. You aren’t doing those things. When you pause, you’re analyzing. When you pause, you listen, and you think. It’s the perfect reason to pause.
@@BriBeeReacts Of course! If you're still doing Sleep Token reactions, I highly recommend "Are You Really Okay?" It's a song that (to my best knowledge) does not contain any references to previous songs. It's also one of the most heartbreaking and comforting songs I've ever listened to, to the point where listening to it at the wrong time can have me a sobbing mess. I cannot recommend it enough. Bring tissues though, you'll need them!
Yes!!! We need more Sleep Token! There’s so much to get into with this band, as an empath, you are absolutely going to resonate with their music. I would recommend starting with an album and working your way completely through it. Their albums tell a story, and all three albums are connected to one another. Think of this album as the avengers infinity war of their music. A fantastic album for sure, but there’s going to be a lot of references in the music that you may miss not knowing what came before. Having said that, I also selfishly think you should listen to the opening to their second album. The song is called Atlantic :)
I really loved your commentary on this song, sleep token is so amazing, i cant recommend listening to their entire discography enough! Ive never listened to a band with such fantastic lyricism and that invokes so much emotion through the music alone. I think starting from sundowning would be a great idea, their albums are a trilogy and listening from start to finish is an experience. Euclid is a song that is appreciated much mre when you listen to their other songs first, but definitely the night does not belong to god. btw! the music was way louder than your video, when you were speaking I had to turn the volume up and down, just so you know :))
Just found this channel. Sleep token is so good the lyrics are so creative and deep. I really enjoyed the breakdown of the song lyrics very nice. Have a good day!
Subbed. This journey will have you ugly crying every other song. The other will show every emotion there is. Start from the Sundowning album and work your way through as Eden is the penultimate track in this trilogy of albums and the payoff is euphoric. 🐝🐝
Great reaction! I'd highly recommend going through "Sundowning", then "This place will be your tomb", then this album. Having watched someone else do this, the payoff is immense.
I perceive it as wanting to go back to being innocent as a child again and wanting to return to a world where you have no worries or stress of being grown.
There’s also the other side of the “The Gods Grow Tired” line where it’s just the opposite. They’re trying to help you but helping everyone might be exhausting even for them.
This entire song feels like it is just brimming with tension until that final explosion of screaming, it feels like a catharsis. I got full body chills. I had teary eyes basically through the entire song and that part just allows you to let go.
For your first time hearing this your lyrical analysis was really impressive and thoughtful! I’ll paint the picture for you a little bit differently. The singer, Vessel, has written 3 albums about presumably the same relationship. A relationship that was most likely very toxic and abusive towards the end. The concept of “Eden” is referencing the Biblical Garden of Eden which represents Purity and Innocence(before the fruit was picked). He’s using Eden as a metaphor for when the relationship was still pure and untainted. “I will travel far beyond the path of reason, take me back to Eden, take me back..” - he is willing to do ANYTHING to go back to the time before all the damage was done, even though he fully understands that it’s not possible. “Grow back your sharpest teeth, you know my desire” - also reinforces the idea that he would go beyond the path of reason and even put up with abuse if it could give him that love back. And lastly “No amount of self-sought fury will bring back the glory of Innocence” is him blatantly admitting that he knows that being angry and fighting with his lover will never restore their relationship to the time before the damage. These sentiments are reinforced throughout the whole album and frankly throughout their whole discography. Several songs on the album directly reference lyrics from older songs. I’d recommend going back to the album that started this story, it’s called “Sundowning.” looking forward to more ST reactions!
Wow amazing analysis!! Thank you for this!!! Isn’t it crazy how everyone has a different perspective and can give a whole new meaning to a song?! Wow so cool!
This is an interesting take, my take was always him talking to himself. He made mistakes and is saying 'i will do anything however unreasonable it may be to be normal again and to not feel the way I do' Eden is his life prior to whatever event occured
My experience with this whole album: I listened to the album out of order (didn’t even realize) and it was still somehow incredible and then in order, and it was incredible all over again. Like I hadn’t just listened to it. But that’s the power and beauty of this album. Order doesn’t matter. It’s so well done.
I Can see their music hits everyone! I can’t wait to listen to more! It’s been very hard just having this song on repeat until I react to their other stuff!
@@destroyerofdreams42069 don’t worry! One of my subscribers gave me a list of songs in order to listen to!! I will do it in order! I think she was just saying there music is good even by itself without knowing what the story is all together!
I’d love to see you listen to Levitate by Sleep Token. Subbed for 2 reasons: 1- Sleep Token has a way of stripping you of all your armor and applying pressure to your pain points. You did very well and on your first listen to them, I can tell you’re an active listener! 2- Sleep Token.
I usually skip the parts where the reactors "talk too much" but this was not the case, I have not skipped a second of your video at all, I really liked your way of interpreting the lyrics, even the emotion you felt reminded me of mine When I heard it for the first time, sleep token, my current favorite band, I subscribed hoping for you to make more songs of theirs.
I feel like Sleep Token perfectly shows us one big mistake when it comes to emotions. Turning sorrow into anger. Gods perfectly represents this just like Take Me Back To Eden.
I would love to see you react through the full Sleep Token journey; starting at the beginning. For the love of everything, please, do not react to Euclid until you’ve had some time listening to more of their discography. It is an amazing song, and with full context, it is 1000x’s better.
If you like to analyze deep and misterios lyrics, Sleep Token is a huge treat. Their three albums tell a story, and every song in them needs to be listened in order to get the whole arc (similar to marvel movies, there are even callbacks between the songs). But you got the key element: he was not talking to someone else, but himself.
Nice reaction. Are we about to get a Sleep Token journey? Their three albums are a trilogy though. Vessels writing is amazing. Let the rabbit hole begin. Much love new sub. Tc Worship

🥺thank you so much! These suggestions super help!! 👍🏼❤️
I'm subbing strictly because of the bangs and your music taste! Also your knowledge of the Bible was a bonus. Great reaction 🖤
I very much enjoyed your reaction and interpretation! Vessel loves for us to come to our own conclusion about his music ❤
You hit the nail on the head with your interpretation i hope to see you go on this journey! 🖤
Thank you so much!!🥺❤️
Welcome to your Sleep Token journey! Highly suggest having the lyrics when you react, it'll make more sense as the song goes along, cause Vessel is always deep and poetic.
Thank you!!! ❤️
Absolutely NEED to see you react to “Blood Sport (from the room below)” by Sleep Token
Yes this is a popular request!! ❤️
I'm usually not fan of too much pausing but I really love how you break down the lyrics! Ohhh you just fell into the rabbit hole of sleep token. Excited to see your reaction to the album! Im sure you'll love it! Keep it up, I subscribed!
🥺thank you so much 💞
Please listen to this entire album 🙏! It’s an absolute masterclass of sound design, musicianship and songwriting!
This one song is so rich, varied, it feels like a whole album by itself. It truly is a masterpiece.
And yes, I don't cry easy but this one and Euclid is among the very rare songs that can make me cry (Hurt by Johnny Cash is also a strong contender)
I loved your reaction and deep analysis of that song it was very genuine, great job ;)
One of the best analyses I've seen of this song. Amazing to share the experience with you 🙏
🥺thank you so much 💞
What bugs me about reactors who pause frequently is that they almost never actually pay attention or comment in meaningful ways.
You aren’t doing those things.
When you pause, you’re analyzing. When you pause, you listen, and you think. It’s the perfect reason to pause.
@@Essendiinanis thank you so much I genuinely genuinely appreciate this
@@BriBeeReacts Of course!
I’m so excited to dive into this band more! Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment 🥺❤️
Thanks for making a video. I like to see people enjoying music.
More to come tomorrow !! Thank you for watching!!
Thank you so much!!!
thank you for this video. it takes alot to not just hit the ground when listening to this band
Welcome to the rabbit hole ❤️ worship! 🙏🏻
Yes! Thank you!
Just found this channel. Sleep token is so good the lyrics are so creative and deep. I really enjoyed the breakdown of the song lyrics very nice. Have a good day!
Welcome aboard! Thank you for watching!! ❤️
From the moment Vessel started, she became a fan!😂 Me too lol.
Euclid has to be the most enjoyably heartbreaking songs ive ever heard. I cry every time i hear it. ❤
Welcome to your new obsession! They are amazing
I'm here for you sleep token journey if you take it down the rabbit hole 😊 I'm sorry I missed the bee!
Yes I am sooo going too!! That’s okay! Maybe watch it over again near the rap cadence part ☺️
Subbed. This journey will have you ugly crying every other song. The other will show every emotion there is. Start from the Sundowning album and work your way through as Eden is the penultimate track in this trilogy of albums and the payoff is euphoric. 🐝🐝
Thank you so much 🥺💞
I love the "ugly crying" had me rolling. But.... You ain't lying!
tears running down your face while making a stank face and headbanging to the ending of the song is exactly why sleep token is so good
I have learned that super fast haha I love it
Great reaction! I'd highly recommend going through "Sundowning", then "This place will be your tomb", then this album. Having watched someone else do this, the payoff is immense.
Thank you so much!! ❤️😭
Welcome to Sleep Token.
Worship 🕯️
Sleep token is for me one of the greatest bands ever.
I perceive it as wanting to go back to being innocent as a child again and wanting to return to a world where you have no worries or stress of being grown.
" I dream in phosphorescences, Bleed through spaces, See you drifting past the fog, But no one told you where to go......" And the rest is history 🔥 🎶
There’s also the other side of the “The Gods Grow Tired” line where it’s just the opposite. They’re trying to help you but helping everyone might be exhausting even for them.
Oooo that’s super interesting!!
Ascensionism slaps. But their whole new album is AMAZING. God speed Spider-Man
Haha spider man 🐝
ST is something else
i like how you analyzed the lyrics, great video !
Thank you so much!! 💞💞
Sticking around for more Sleep Token.
This entire song feels like it is just brimming with tension until that final explosion of screaming, it feels like a catharsis. I got full body chills. I had teary eyes basically through the entire song and that part just allows you to let go.
Exactly 🥺🥺😫
Its weird how it takes a couple listens to fully appreciate and have the song grow on you.
Right!?
Yes super similar idea but also different. I love how everyone sees music differently it’s amazing.
It’s been very hard just having this song on repeat until I react to their other stuff!
except the order does matter because the albums tell a story
@@destroyerofdreams42069 don’t worry! One of my subscribers gave me a list of songs in order to listen to!! I will do it in order! I think she was just saying there music is good even by itself without knowing what the story is all together!
@@destroyerofdreams42069 which is how it was still incredible the second time lol
the tearful headbanging at the end...so real for ST
😭😭
I’d love to see you listen to Levitate by Sleep Token. Subbed for 2 reasons:
1- Sleep Token has a way of stripping you of all your armor and applying pressure to your pain points. You did very well and on your first listen to them, I can tell you’re an active listener!
2- Sleep Token.
Reason No. 3: See Reason No. 2
Thank you so much! I will definitely check Levítate out! Thank you for subbing 🥺❤️
Reaction request: Oktaf Kanis - Come On, thanks 🔥
I'll check it out for sure!! ❤️
@@BriBeeReacts thanks! 👌🏻❤
🥺 thank you so much!!! I definitely am!
I feel like Sleep Token perfectly shows us one big mistake when it comes to emotions.
Turning sorrow into anger.
Gods perfectly represents this just like Take Me Back To Eden.
Bro that’s so for real
Yupp come on time to jump down the rabbit hole and Worship
18:54 - Dont worry - I do it everytime at that part of the song... its... the real truth.Ppl always remember that when its too late.
I would love to see you react through the full Sleep Token journey; starting at the beginning.
For the love of everything, please, do not react to Euclid until you’ve had some time listening to more of their discography. It is an amazing song, and with full context, it is 1000x’s better.
Don’t worry I will!! I’m so excited! New video tonight!
Euclid!!! Get ready for super tears
Yes!! I thought so. His own demon
Nice reaction. Are we about to get a Sleep Token journey? Their three albums are a trilogy though. Vessels writing is amazing. Let the rabbit hole begin. Much love new sub. Tc
Worship
YAS I am!! Thank you!! ❤️
headbanging while crying pretty much sums up sleep token lol
just subscribed, great reaction, one of my fav bands, if you want some emotional lyrics and deep meaning i would recommend a band called sleeping at last, particularly a song called Saturn.
Thank you so much!! ❤️
Oh hey, welcome to the realm of Sleep Token. We do be crying a lot around here. Enjoy the ride! 🙌
🥺thank you so much
Jeez now you have to go through their whole catalogue. Welcome

I have a suggestion for you to react to that no one has reacted to yet that I think you will appreciate the song and might send you down another rabbit hole. Really amazing band which is Gemini syndrome and the song I think you should do first is the newest song. "wake up"
Omg i would love to! Great idea!
@@BriBeeReacts awesome can you let me know about when you might be able to do it so I know when to me watching for it.
@@BriBeeReacts also wake up doesn't have a video yet but it's a really great song but they do have some really good videos to buy no one has reacted to wake up yet it's only been out since Aug 31st so it's pretty new.
@@tracyraines1059 yes I will! I will also post on the community page and twister ! I’m planning to film tonight so maybe late tonight! I always end up posting around 2am so it’s ready for people to watch when they wake up
@@BriBeeReacts that's awesome I'm usually up that time of night so that is perfect for me. Thanks for getting to it so I fast I really appreciate it and hope you like it as much as I do. They can music….and we all know it
Great perspective on the song
Just pause it after sections and then break down and also pull up the lyrics if you are. Lol
I’ll have to grab my iPad to read the lyrics next time!
