Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. Bas, I am impressed....you know more about grace than probably 95% of US Christians. They just do not understand, because they fail to believe Paul. Paul was preaching a different gospel (Galatians 2:7 KJV only!). Paul tells us that our sins can never affect grace (Romans 5:20)...that's why there is NEVER ANY CONDEMNATION (Romans 8:1). It's like what a pastor once said to me, "you really do not commit sins anymore, you just commit bad works" (II Cor 5:10). All our sins were paid for on the cross by the Lord Jesus Christ...so, "sin" is not a problem with us before God. I would *NEVER* tell a saved person, "oh, you are saved, which means now you can do anything you want"...even though, technically it is true...again our sins can NOT overcome grace! When I found that out, a HUGE burden was lifted off of me! I then realized I did NOT have to work to please God, based on my performance if his will, because Christ took care of all of that at the cross. And, when I found that out, I did not say to myself "oh, this is great...tonight I am going out to the strip club and get drunk". The peace I received from grace (Romans 11:6) was so beautiful...now, I don't have to worry that "God is gonna get me for being disobedient"...He can't! If He did, then that means there is a sin of mine that Christ did not pay for! Paul says that Christ paid for *ALL* of our sins (Colossians 2:13). Ok...this is getting too long...I must go now....
I was taught about grace in a false way. I now realize that to believe that grace has limits is to believe that Christ has limits. I understand now that God is not someone who sets a limit that is unknown to us. How often have we heard the true words "how will you know if you have ever done enough for God?" The answer is, you can't know. God doesn't operate in approximations, he only operates in abolutes and perfection. That is why the work of the cross and the ensuing grace are perfect and untouchable works. God will not allow a man to dictate limits to him. He does not listen to man's protests about fears concerning a so called "cheap grace". As soon as we start to put human boundaries around grace, we will automatically begin to judge others. Did God give us grace so that we can judge others? O let us be amazed by his grace. It flows to the depths of our beings and leads us into the presence of a perfectly loving God.

I love this guy. Many years I suffered in organized religion. I clinged to the message of William Branham, and thought that was the absolute. But today, when I look at it, those who practice Branham's message, I realize they are totally deficient in GRACE. If there ever were legalists, they are they. But later I came across Joseph Prince; then Andrew Farley; and now Bas. Aren't I blessed? At 63yrs, people are thought to have hardened beliefs; but God'd GRACE is great.
Parable of the prodigal son, gets inheritance, lives wildly and sinful, realizes that it was better at home with his father, goes back and is wlecomed back in celebration. The prodigal son is every single one of us and the Father is God through Jesus Christ, for we all have sinned but the love of God is limitless through being an heir with Christ, He will welcome us with celebration. God's Faith and love is beyond measure
Thank you for this video. It’s comforting to hear this presentation of grace. I’ve been struggling with condemnation and fear about past shortcomings and yes, struggles with surrender and yet needing God’s Grace to help me change. But I’ve been feeling fear-based and not grace-based. My focus has been on my failures and not on Jesus. This presentation seems to get me at least off the ground. I subscribed to your channel and would be interested in your course but I was having trouble finding the link.
What a beautiful condition !!! The condition to be so smothered with the goodness of God that it propels us forward in love with him that the very thought of sin doesnt exist!! Grace ie the goodness of God minded naturally leads to self consious liberation ! That is pure liberty! Not relying on self, trusting on self or judging self to total reliance trust and justification through Christ and walking in him.
Did you know that to say “You can go to far with grace” is to say “you can go to far with Jesus?” Jesus is Grace personified. Grace = Jesus. Thus to say you can go to far with grace is to say you can go to far with Jesus! Likewise, to say “You better be careful or people might abuse grace” is to say “you better be careful or people might abuse Jesus.” Can you see how ridiculous these “concerns” are? To be straightforward, all these “buts and brakes” are based on fear-based lies! The very people who are afraid that grace encourages people to go out and sin show that they have a lack of understanding what grace is and what it does in a person's life. This Video Reveals..."Should You Be Careful Not To Abuse Grace? NEVER!" --> basrijksen.com/abuse-grace/

I think the answer the Father gave to the other son in the lost son parable is one of the best example of grace: "31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine. 32 It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found." (Luke 15)
Yes, you can still abuse God's grace, goodness, and mercy by deliberately continuing on a path of sin which he already set you free from as opposed to obeying God's Word. 4:37 is exactly what God did in the garden of eden with Adam and Eve. Just because a sign says "Do Not Enter" doesn't mean it's purpose is to make you curious to want to enter. It's simply saying this is good and this is bad. Do good and don't do bad. The Law only shows what sin is only because it shows first what obedience is. Sin is just the opposite, the transgression of God's Law. For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law (law of sin and death; not God's Law) but under grace. What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means! Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin (transgressing the law), which leads to death, or of obedience (follow God), which leads to righteousness (right standing in God's eyes)?
you sin every day what does that mean your condemned? He who says he is without sin is a liar for we all fall short of Gods glory, and thats why Jesus died for the ungodly that who soever believes in him Christ Jesus shall not perish but have everlasting life. This message is stop beating yourself to death and live in bondage analyzing yourself and your salvation trying to uphold the law on your own which is a trap and causes many Christians to be destroyed because it is IMPOSSIBLE, which causes you to live in misery, defeat and not free. Your walk with God is LOVE and LOVE covers a multitude of sin, therefore through his grace you die to living in sin. Bottom line is God knows the heart and you can't fool him a repentant heart abounds in grace.
Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Grace and the law are not apart. Grace brings us to righteousness. The law has always pointed to God's grace. Don't forget... "I did not come to abolish the law, but to fulfill it."
Clayton Ray God hates sin because it hurts us. We are not living at our potential when we are hurt by sin. God does not stop loving us rather gives us unction from the Helper - Holy Spirit inside every believer not to fall for the effect it has on us. When my son was young he ran carelessly to meet his grandparents - I called out to him to slow down - just then he tripped and planted his face into the cement steps. Was I angry with him ? Of course not - he hurt himself and I felt his pain as we rushed him to the clinic for stitches. That’s how God feels when we fall/miss the mark. He is grieved by sin for the damage it does to us (and possibly those around us)

You will never be able to love God the same way how he loves you 😄 it’s because of our sinful nature but we can have joy through this and praise God because after the resurrection we will be able to love God the same way how he loves us and we will see his glory all around the universe. Nothing can separate us from his love God bless you ❤️
I wanna understand about grace, not in my head but in my heart and experience it in my life. How do i do it? How do i talk to Jesus? I want to talk with Him like a friend, how to do it?
Shall we continue in sin that grace might abound? May it never be! We live as new creations in Christ and the new creation cannot sin because it is born of God. God's spirit is joined with your renewed spirit to form a new creation. That new creation is born of incorruptible seed. It cannot sin nor can it die! The Christian life is a life in the Spirit fellowshipping with God in the Spirit not in the flesh. God's grace secures us and changes us. Those who make such statements as "You can abuse Christ grace" more often then not believe that you can lose your salvation. They are not resting in the work of Christ for their salvation but upon their own works to secure their salvation. I have always held the view when discussing such matters is to leave the saving work of God up to God. Man ultimately has no say on the matter. Christ saves and Jesus said in Gospel of John Ch. 6:39 "This is my Fathers will which hath sent me, that All that the Father gives to me I will not lose any but in the last day will raise them up.". Its Christs work and he will secure you unto the day of the resurrection. We live unto Christ and He lives in us and through us.
Heb 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
You know, I had this in mind since I became a son of the God of the universe and I didn't have a way to explain it, you did it for me! Haha; in my mind I always thought: How can a son of God commit sins volunteerly after he saw that 'grace'? And now I know they never knew the grace of God.
You can't say they never knew the Grace of God, that is judgemental. Some people do see the grace of God and still commit sins on purpose/voluntarily. In fact, I think we all do sometimes. If God's grace doesn't cover that too, it's a grace with conditions. I.e. not grace.
What would you say about 1 Peter 2:16: “Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves.” Isn’t it talking about grace there?
Peter is speaking to Jews in that dispensation. We are in this dispensation of the Grace of God. Anywhere Paul isn't speaking, it isn't speaking to us today.
I like how you used the child with the toy example at 5:00 it was perfect. Just like in Genesis with Adam and Eve, they probably wouldn't haven't eaten from the tree if they had not known about it...in a way xD
no once you are saved, you remain saved, but you will face severe consequences If you are reborn and won't be able to continue in sin, but if you are stubborn you could die early death.
No, if you turn from God he turns from you. He gives grace to the humble but resists the proud. He's just being a heretic. Nothing he says is backed up by the word don't fall into the trap
Joe Miller grace, like righteousness is imputed to us not imparted only on the basis that we follow his will. We can't just do our own will and expect ourselves to be right in Gods eyes. To be carnally minded is death the Bible says
***** Righteousness is a gift given to us. Doesn't matter what actions you have done, you are still righteous, holy, sacred, innocent before God himself.
I appreciate many of your videos. I think you're dealing with biblical concepts but "abusing grace," is a game of semantics. Jesus provides that grace. I'm not sure that Jesus is called, "unmerited favor," in the New Testament which is what grace means. However, It's because of Jesus that we have grace. Can grace be abused? Yes it can, but not in the sense of destroying it or removing it. For instance, in Romans 6:1-2, Paul writes, "What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?" There is a difference between "abusing grace," and "losing grace." Certainly that grace has been taken advantage of. Also they have abused that wonderful grace, but not lost it. It's sort of like when I verbally abuse a loving parent. They are still my parent. They still are present and real. They still love me, but I've still abused and taken advantage of that love. I haven't lost that love. So, I see the point you're trying to make, but just because something is ironclad and guaranteed doesn't mean it can't be abused (even though it won't be lost). That is why I say that, I like your concept, but this is more a question of semantics. Thanks for sharing brother.
sounds very nice .. something is not sitting right .placing people's attention on the " forbidden toy "and then saying it is the cause of them being tempted by it . James says we can only be tempted by the desire that is already in our heart .
You forget the other verse in the bible. Its like you say God is love but forget He is justice. Peter about dogs & pigs. Paul discipline himself. Are you better than paul & peter?
this man extends what the Bible talks about as itching ears. the problem is it's not legalism that is the problem but our enemy who Condemns. The Holy Spirit CONVICTS this conviction leads us to live as he tells us throughout scripture. I HEAR THIS MAN MISUSING SCRIPTURE! Ask God for understanding of his word. Let The Holy Spirit Guide you. NO HUMAN BEING speaks for God. God spoke His word to us as the Holy Spirit inspired His people to do.
Remission of sins is through repentance. Luke 24;46. Why would God throw sinners into hell but forgive an unrepentant religious person? There is no such thing as an unrepentant Christian.
Luke is speaking to the house of Israel!!!! Before the cross my man. This side of the cross and the mystery gospel revealed to Paul we do nothing for Salavtion! But, simply believe it! 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Alone.
Well.... here's the real simple version..... If you are a believer... and trust the bible, it says in : Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. (KJV) Obviously this means ... more Grace = more Dominion If you are still living in Sin, you are not using/abusing Grace in the first place : If you are not a believer ..... well none of the above is for you... Accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour and He shall save you from your sins and grant you eternal life and then refer earlier point xD
The commands of God in October of 2017 have nothing to do with abrogated ancient Hebrew law. Why is that so difficult to understand? Helllooohhh. Anybody awake? You aren't a Jew. You aren't an escaped Hebrew slave. There is no Jew or Gentile anymore and there hasn't been since Calvary. There are only humans in need of a redeemer. Sunday isn't a Holy day. Saturday isn't a Holy day. There are no Holy days. There is a Holy God who will look at Judaizers and say," Depart from me. I never knew you."
Do not be deceived: xneither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,2 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. Can’t we go to hell for unrepentant sins ? And unforgiveness?
Galatians 6:& "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. Whatever a man sows, he will reap in return. " 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 "9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous[a] will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,[b] 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. Romans 6:1-2 "1What then shall we say? Shall we continue in sin so that grace may increase? 2By no means! How can we who died to sin live in it any longer?"
Juliana gracegracegrace I have overcome much of my previous sin which is the POINT!! If you continue to willfully sin, you are NOT saved nor regenerated. You are deceived by a false gospel. He's coming back for a bride without spot or wrinkle and has been perfected as HE was perfect. I think your problem might be that no human can be perfect, yet Jesus was perfect. He is NOT God, he is the Son of Man just like he said! you may have fallen victim to the pagan and gnostic teachings of the Catholic Church who were responsible for infiltrating the church with a damnable heresy. Jesus was speaking to the church of Pergemon and the Nicolatians where Satans seat is in Revelation. I suggest you study the harlot and HER DAUGHTERS and pagan mutil-gods that was decided upon at the council of Nicea. Jesus never said he was God and God never said he existed before his birth. His logos is not a reference to pre-existing! He was a man, tempted like us in every way yet remained sinless. if he can do it and is our example, then we can do it. it's all about the flesh. So, yes, I've spent 55 years learning to overcome much sin, am I perfect, NO. I never said I was!! I'm an overcomer!!
What about his prayer in the garden, specifically John 17:5? John 1:1-14? Genesis 1:26? John 8:58? John10:30? Jesu Christ is God. He is fully God and fully man. Who can comprehend God?
Lie, everybody who believe in the real truth Gospel witch is Jesus Christ died on the Cross and ressurection agian are saved - Regardlees of how they life doing or don't do. You are on you're way straight to hell - because you call Jesus Christ a lier - Period!

The answer is, you can't know.
Scott Andersen these are lies don't be conformed to his preaching
Amen!
I love how you biblically dismantle the traditions of men
All your videos have changed my life! Thank you for sharing this good news with all of us. When I watch your videos although I understand the grace message it encourages me that what Jesus is indeed the one who fulfilled all the requirements that we can't achieve. Thank you brother for all that you do! I subscribed to your Channel and please don't stop helping all of us depend on Jesus and not ourselves.
Eric
Praise God! Great video, thank you Bas. God Bless!!
The GRACE of GOD is the POWER of GOD to resist SIN, it is by God's Grace that we overcome sin.
God's grace is immeasurable, but it is not to be taken for granted. He is merciful but is also just.
Kyla Zeigler yes he is just - thereby we have Jesus / the cross / shedding of blood. Justice has been served. Next.
Just what I needed as I listen to so many mixed versions and having this pure understanding now!! is priclless!! God Bless
Stephen Bigg Awesome Stephen. Good and encouraging to hear!
Did you know that to say “You can go to far with grace” is to say “you can go to far with Jesus?”
Jesus is Grace personified. Grace = Jesus.
Thus to say you can go to far with grace is to say you can go to far with Jesus! Likewise, to say “You better be careful or people might abuse grace” is to say “you better be careful or people might abuse Jesus.”
Can you see how ridiculous these “concerns” are? To be straightforward, all these “buts and brakes” are based on fear-based lies!
The very people who are afraid that grace encourages people to go out and sin show that they have a lack of understanding what grace is and what it does in a person's life.
This Video Reveals..."Should You Be Careful Not To Abuse Grace? NEVER!" --> basrijksen.com/abuse-grace/

I think the answer the Father gave to the other son in the lost son parable is one of the best example of grace:
"31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.
32 It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found." (Luke 15)
well said
I’m still working on reading the entire Bible, and I really appreciate your videos, they really help a lot, and they help me pass it on as well:)
Very excellent presentation 🙏
Of course salvation is forever. Netherless, you shall try to sin as little as possible. Sins are never good
Ridiculously simple and profoundly uncomplicated! Love it :)
+acts217now Awesome. So great you love the Good News too!
Amen, brother! Well said!
What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? (Romans 6:1-2)
Clayton Ray Right, because we cannot.
He is grieved by sin for the damage it does to us (and possibly those around us)
So, are you calling Paul a liar? Notice carefully the grammar of Romans 6:14...
Bas...Can you do a teaching on WHAT Grace is? For example; Grace is not getting something we do not deserve.
I've been a Christian a long time and I still struggle with legalism. Any suggestions on how I can overcome my legalistic attitude?

See you at the inside,

You will never be able to love God the same way how he loves you 😄 it’s because of our sinful nature but we can have joy through this and praise God because after the resurrection we will be able to love God the same way how he loves us and we will see his glory all around the universe. Nothing can separate us from his love God bless you ❤️
iv heard so many debates on this topic -i must admit this is the first iv heard where you don't stop and the first half
I wanna understand about grace, not in my head but in my heart and experience it in my life. How do i do it? How do i talk to Jesus? I want to talk with Him like a friend, how to do it?
Jesus only speaks to us today in his written word. Not audibly or "feelingsly".
You said it, like you talk to a friend. He's the best friend you'll ever have.
I had the Holy spirit and the presence of God. Now I don't feel his presence. Can disobedience to the Holy spirit cause one to lose one's salvation?
Heb 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
You know, I had this in mind since I became a son of the God of the universe and I didn't have a way to explain it, you did it for me! Haha; in my mind I always thought: How can a son of God commit sins volunteerly after he saw that 'grace'? And now I know they never knew the grace of God.
You are blessed Sando. Also, in your understanding. Because most people don't see it that way (yet).
You can't say they never knew the Grace of God, that is judgemental. Some people do see the grace of God and still commit sins on purpose/voluntarily. In fact, I think we all do sometimes. If God's grace doesn't cover that too, it's a grace with conditions. I.e. not grace.
What would you say about 1 Peter 2:16:
“Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves.” Isn’t it talking about grace there?
Peter is speaking to Jews in that dispensation. We are in this dispensation of the Grace of God. Anywhere Paul isn't speaking, it isn't speaking to us today.
I like how you used the child with the toy example at 5:00 it was perfect. Just like in Genesis with Adam and Eve, they probably wouldn't haven't eaten from the tree if they had not known about it...in a way xD
What do you think of Tim Conway? He has videos on a channel called I'll be honest. Do u think he has bad theology?
Why no more videos??
is walking in perpetual disgrace a salvation issue?
no once you are saved, you remain saved, but you will face severe consequences If you are reborn and won't be able to continue in sin, but if you are stubborn you could die early death.
Bas, I'm a little confused. If you are walking in disgrace are you still under grace?
No, if you turn from God he turns from you. He gives grace to the humble but resists the proud. He's just being a heretic. Nothing he says is backed up by the word don't fall into the trap
If you are under Grace, WHY would you be walking in "disgrace"?
Joe Miller grace, like righteousness is imputed to us not imparted only on the basis that we follow his will. We can't just do our own will and expect ourselves to be right in Gods eyes. To be carnally minded is death the Bible says
***** Righteousness is a gift given to us. Doesn't matter what actions you have done, you are still righteous, holy, sacred, innocent before God himself.
Joe Miller no it isn't what bible verse can you give that says we are ALWAYS righteous? Read your bible and don't believer everything you'll hear
I love this guy:)..God You are so fun:)!
AMEN
Wonderful! :-)
this man extends what the Bible talks about as itching ears. the problem is it's not legalism that is the problem but our enemy who Condemns.
Wow.
If you are a believer... and trust the bible, it says in :
Romans 6:14
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. (KJV)
Obviously this means ... more Grace = more Dominion
If you are still living in Sin, you are not using/abusing Grace in the first place :
If you are not a believer ..... well none of the above is for you...
Accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour and He shall save you from your sins and grant you eternal life
and then refer earlier point xD
WOW!
bad medicine, he never ask us to put our trust in him and not to not read our bible. please listen before you comment. regards
The commands of God in October of 2017 have nothing to do with
abrogated ancient Hebrew law. Why is that so difficult to understand?
Helllooohhh. Anybody awake? You aren't a Jew. You aren't an escaped
Hebrew slave. There is no Jew or Gentile anymore and there hasn't been
since Calvary. There are only humans in need of a redeemer. Sunday isn't
a Holy day. Saturday isn't a Holy day. There are no Holy days. There is
a Holy God who will look at Judaizers and say," Depart from me. I never
knew you."
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 "9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous[a] will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,[b] 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
Romans 6:1-2 "1What then shall we say? Shall we continue in sin so that grace may increase? 2By no means! How can we who died to sin live in it any longer?"
When people willfully continue to sin are not saved. Period.
Jesus is not God? You're on your way to hell
What about his prayer in the garden, specifically John 17:5? John 1:1-14? Genesis 1:26? John 8:58? John10:30? Jesu Christ is God. He is fully God and fully man. Who can comprehend God?
J Day. You are deceived. I and the father are one. If you've seen me You be seen the father. How much planer can it be.
Lie, everybody who believe in the real truth Gospel witch is Jesus Christ died on the Cross and ressurection agian are saved - Regardlees of how they life doing or don't do.
You are on you're way straight to hell - because you call Jesus Christ a lier -
Period!
God’s grace is a narrow path.
Which cannot be abused
5:43 DO NOT BELIEVE IN THE GOSPEL OF GRACE! IT'S SATANIC AND EVIL!!!
