great drummer. great writer. his beats and fills are creative and fit every song. but man is he tense.
I wasn’t the show and it was so much fun, the crowd was incredible. The opening bands killed it especially Just Friends. That whole night was incredible. A lot of fun energy
Everyone’s so concerned about his “stiff wrists” and “oh no, he’s so bored”! Who cares?! This dudes great and writes awesome drum parts. Don’t worry about how he looks playing live.
Long time ago you wrote this but I totally agree. For me he’s one of the best melodic drummers in punk / pop punk. Plays with the track. He doesn’t just play a beat and bangs his head like so many considered “great” punk drummers. He’s technical and add little bits that add to the song, add to the fact he’s tight as fuck like I watch him thinking he’s lagging then he’s bang on.

@@MasterCheef00he hasn’t been injured as far as I’m aware. TSSF fired their bass player Kelen so Ryan has been filling in on bass, guitar, & keys. Mikey from set your goals has been touring with them behind the kit. But their single “letterman” shows Torf on the drums in the music video! The tour with ADTR starts in 2 days and I’m curious if he will be on drums or not. I’ll be seeing them 3 different times this tour can’t wait!!

Yeahhh haha funny that people saying how this guy plays. This song is very difficult to be performed live as they are so many patterns and fill ins. Tbh, Ryan did it very very well.
It’s not so much hate as it is just people looking out for him because of the long term, physical consequences that can come from playing the way he does (i.e. jacking up his wrists from not having them relaxed)
Because poor technique like this can fuck you up bad. I'm self taught and used to have some really bad habits that were messing my wrists up really bad, like carpal tunnel and I could barely make it through a show before my wrists were just on fire and hurt like hell.
He's just putting unnecessary wear and tear on his body. I don't think anyone is trying to be mean, pretty sure we all like the guy. It's just concerning lol, don't wanna see him get hurt

as someone who plays in a band, when you play a song for months/years it gets tiresome. I'm sure they're also very tired from playing back to back shows and not really getting much sleep.

Yeah he is kinda phenomen, always good rhythms, good grooves, he just rock the drums, but that way of playing dude... U need big muscles and tons of energy for that hahah...

If you want a see a drummer within this genre then you really need to check out Dani Washington (Drummer of Neck Deep) now that guy reallllllly knows how to play and his fills are just something else in my opinion of course
