- Today @betsythomps and I visited Galle, Sri Lanka for the first time. We explore this beautiful city and visit the world-famous fort. We then take a look around the markets and enjoy some local Sri Lankan street food. We finish the day off by trying our first ever Faluda drink!

If you don't want to bothered by these hangers on who are clearly annoying you, just don't engage in any conversation with them. Simple as that. Once you start talking to them, they will not leave you alone. Don't worry about being rude to these chancers.
That’s it yes. We try our best to be as polite as possible and avoid being intentionally rude to locals, but like you say, this does then come back to bite us in these situations. At least we’ll know for next time 😂

What did you guys think of Unawatuna? I was there in Feb and was supposed to stay for 5 days and left after 2 days . It was absolutely full with Russians , even every restaurant had Russian menus , so we left early .
Hey Darren,
We came in off season obviously and the weather was absolutely terrible. Not to mention it was still full of Russians. We also left after 2 nights and won’t be going back. Not a huge fan of that area to be honest, there’s probably a reason it’s full of Russians and nobody else. I hadn’t seen any Russians anywhere in Sri Lanka before this so it was quite the surprise 😂

@@dunneytravels It's very easy to make it once you go back home. Mix everything according to your taste. Add a little red food colouring to get that nice pink colour. :)
