Please all appreciate the amount of work and attention to detail she invested into the chest of drawers, I do think the price is ok. She did both a restoration and an upgrade at the same time.

The multi-million pound refuge/tip close to Stafford, UK has a shop. ALL tips should have a shop, just a thought 🤔 😉 ❤

The worktop on that chest of drawers could have worked as a small kitchen island, no?

    • @lzrd8460
      @lzrd8460 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Yes, it would have made a lovely kitchen island for a small kitchen. It could have made a lovely bathroom piece by sitting the sink in/on top! Sooo many ways to have used it yet the owner was going to dump a fine old pc of furniture! 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

Love the "Zoe Magic" that blessed that chest into a magnificent piece of art. The colours, the bespoke hand printing, everything - was exquisite.

I think for what you want to ask for the chairs you should have finished off the fabric underneath with some trimming, not just left the raw edge! Or am I wrong? Did you add black plastic vinyl?

I do believe that the drawer pulls on the dresser where added as a later addition in maybe the 30's . likley catalin or bakelite and are worth a fair penny to resell .. the actual dresser should NEVER have been jazzed up it should have been cleaned . not stripped and given a good solid high buff waxing .. it was a masterful piece of furniture not an upcycle piece as it is .. upcycling is great for many pieces but this piece was worth far more as an early piece of furniture .. i cringed when she started taking it apart ,, the coffee table is a work of art .. and the pup in the frame is adorable too .. the chairs turned out immaculate .. have watched four episodes .. love love love this show ..

I'm only at the part where Sarah's taking the marble to Bex. Let's hope she doesnt get coasters again

Sarah: "I'm on a mission to save little pieces, worth their weight in gold". LOL. You mean worth a few quid, right Sarah? That being said, some good things come out of all the effort.

They should have sticked to the 150 agreed for the table ... they ruined one of the marble plates, that was not Saras fault.

    £900 was highway robbery.

Why didn’t they cut down the other pieces of MM marble as cutting boards?

Liked the design on the top of the chest of drwers but the front was too fussy and frankly I certainly wouldn't give it house room

The chest of drawers was pretty but $900 for the work??? Ridiculous ! Sarah really needed to be more acertive and either get a better price or go to another designer. Becks and David are cute but they usually underdeliver and overcharge, I don't understand why they're the go to people for Sarah. And the yellow was a poor color choice... A better choice would have been gold, silver or brass. And this time Sarah did a good job on her project and made the most money!

I think it is SOOOOO wrong to dump perfectly good furniture. Couldn’t these ppl have donated to a charity shop? Or posted for free on Marketplace? Or at least allow ppl to take things before they get to the skip? I can understand why there is the rule but there should be a way for ppl like Sarah to be able to take things that can be used with a little work! I find it almost criminal when I see things being crushed up! 😡👎🏼

Not impressed with the single (rather than 3) table and the yellow color makes no sense. The chairs were nice, although don't much like the fabric - and the chest of drawers looked like a DIY project, and the price was outrageous!

£900, to do up that chest of drawers?? And sorry, but are people mad??? Who throws antiques, mcm design furniture and beautiful slabs of perfectly usable marble in the skip?? And honestly.... She didn't even need to transform anything! She could have made those profit, and probably more, by simply selling them on FB marketplace! 😑

She invested a lot of work in the chest, it is a tedious work to remove old coating especially on drawers. And she also got the locks fixed ... she really restored it with a log of attention to detail, that is very very time consuming.

And £900 just to re-do this piece! Obviously English prices are a heck of a lot pricier than American ones!
