Nothing to concern about. Sonar has been around for a very long time and there’s still hudreds of billions of fish in the sea. The only concern is overfishing and plastic. Sound pollution might be dumbest thing I’ve heard after flat earth. Really.
Noise on the bottom is much louder, I was laying on the bottom around 10 metres deep about 500 metres off shore when a loud roaring scared me. When I came up I realized it was a train going past a kilometre away
@@taekooklyf1307 I once heard a whale song, very quiet, I dived down to a flat rock bottom about 10 m deep and it seemed like the whale was right there. Probably held my breath a bit long that dive, I was enchanted.

This is an appalling breach of the laws relating to pollution. The Oceans are so very sensitive to all kinds of pollution. We do not have the right damage the underwater environments in which our se creatures live. There is never any justification in taking this action.
I recommend checking out Mark Robers video on a similar topic. It’s the grenade at one where he shows that if you had to be 10 foot from a grenade on land, or 10 foot away but in a pool, you’d want to pick the land option. Simply because explosions in water are far more devastating on humans/animals. He explains it a lot better.
Unfortunately, it is always the same. When understanding a problem we create, we pretend that new technologies will solve it but marine traffic and offshore exploration will continue to expand. The best solution solution is first and foremost to reduce marine traffic and oil/gas consumption as much as possible by buying local and what we really need the most. Not only people but states have a tremendous responsability in showing the way. For examples : in UE, we'll keep signing new free trade agreement with countries at the other side of the world which is complete nonsense. In France, we cut trees, we send them to China to make furnitures that are sent back to France...And the list goes on.
That's true. The best method is to curb greed and a crazy, consumerist lifestyle. Big corporations want us to buy more and more. This can't go on forever.
Robert Phillips slaves didn’t build them. Aliens did lol but no really to build that in that time period is impossible and they are suggesting that alien life created them 💀
I personally think that the downfall of humans is we focus to much on the bigger part of a thing anything really which I think is one of the problems that led us to global warming we didn’t expirement and we need to start fr
While it may be true that "noise is shortlived" we should consider the possibility that excessively loud booms and other high decibel sounds, including below and above the threshold of human hearing, could cause tinnitus and even permanent deafness in marine mammals, which would be catastrophic.
Nut even my point is you think sound is causing whales to beach because you watched this video that was made for 12 year olds and the point is you and everyone that believes it are snowflakes, and you need to grow up and learn that whales will adapt simple
... and should this be a sign (amongst others) we should be concerned abt 5G on land? ...the loss of bees, mysterious deaths of multiple birds that are just found fallen from sky etc... just wondering if there is a connection. Great vid. Thank you. 🙏
i used to work on the avionics for the P-3C Orion airplane in VP-47 Squadron. The plane drops sonobuoys into the water for submarine location. Countless dolphins and whales have been affected by this. #₩H¥
A very interesting episode. It is truly sad that humans have managed to pollute even the depths of the ocean with noise. The 20th century, when there were terrible wars, was terrifying, but the 21st century, in which it turns out how much and how quickly we have destroyed the world, seems even darker.
I've read the article on that subject half a year ago... it is outrageous (((... - THAT IS WHAT MUST TO BE the subject of the MOST STICT regulation by INTERNATIONAL LAW!!!!!😠 - ✌
One of the only few positive things to come out of the pandemic was less traffic on & beneath our oceans & seas. They say you should never tap on a fish tank due to its effects on the living animals inside such as fish - can you imagine those same affects we produce towards all the animals & sea life that rely, live near, on & within our seas. 🐳🐋🐬🐟🐠🐡🦈🐙🐚🦀🦐🦑🐌 I guarantee it's been a welcomed break for them all.
The thing is that ocean liners sound nothing like whales and how would sound travel that far down in the water compared to how deep whales dive? IM not trying to say that I don’t care about whales but it’s more of a question
This is something to concern about, since the oceans are already have too much of a lot of other types of pollutions in it.

@@winrityyy Sound pollution seems a bit off to me, shouldn't plastic and air pollution be more bigger threats to the ocean
It’s kind of like fireworks, disorientating wildlife with every boom. In my opinion..
3:50 in they talk about disoriented mammals and fish by sonar.
