"No, thinkin' was what you wasn't doin' an now we look like bitches!" -Wee Bey 😂
the delivery of that line was perfect lol you can even see bodie trying to stop himself from laughing
Bey is the best.
"Im ashamed to be your snitch" is wild
Its bubbles for me, always chilling in the cut like he didnt see shit 😂
Always! 😂
Right😂😂
Like the Junkie Snitch he was...
Lmao I couldn't stand him man😂 the way McNulty and them would use him was so crazy to me
@@shardaemitchell3053it’s a dirty game in Baltimore. You gotta be as dirty as them sometimes. Being from MD. Baltimore is a whole other type of drug market you won’t find anywhere in the US everything is organized every corner is watched by lookout boys. It’s not just your normal dude on the corner in Baltimore. Some streets the kids will run up to your car if you’re white. When I use to be a full blown addict about 9 kids surrounded my car yelling over the other to sell my viles of crack. It’s literally insane and easiest place ever to score drugs. Being an addict in Baltimore is pretty much a death sentence nowadays and every block gives out testers everyday for free. You don’t even gotta pay money to be a drug addict in Baltimore. If you up early enough you can get testers from almost every block.
Wee-Bey asking “what kind of van” was him telling D to STFU😂😂😂
And Bodie being the only one to have actual details definitely made him look more legit then D was in that situation.
“Where it at shorty?” This line reading is perfect, it say as everything in the tone.
“You’re just a kid man. You don’t need to get shot behind this now do you? We can do it the easy way or the hard way, and I’m gonna get it anyway. Why even bother play pretend hard like mister knee bits over here? Just make it easy on us all and give it up.”
RIP Michael K Williams. You were a hell of an actor ❤
Yeah the eye contact you can tell he didn't want too shoot the kid

omar getting his name baited with no repercussions was essential for his reputation at first he didn’t like it but once he realised barksdale crew weren’t strong enough to take him down he felt on top of the world
Idk about that, Wee bey was strong enough to send him crying to Kima and McNulty for medical help and a ticket to New York. Not to mention, he ratted on Bird and got him locked up. Omar didn't come back to Baltimore until Bird, Wee bey and Avon were locked up, all factual.
Plot armor saved Omar in reality if he kept walking in those projects like that and running in trap houses he would’ve been dead
@@joesmith7304 Omar based on a one of them guys at the county jail who taped phone books to his chest.. Omar's based on a real life person g
@@Jasonhb07 I know he a real person my guy , that don’t mean most of that 💩 was accurate , he probably was a known stick up artist but i doubt he was going about like in the show
@joesmith7304
Omar played the situation for what it was (like knowing what caliber to bring to that store window).
They weren't on edge about getting robbed by Omar yet.
You're right though....that's why his friend got shot and they had to bail on one of the stickups
Omar messed up by not having Brandon wear a mask. Surely he wasn't so full of himself that he thought nobody would touch Brandon off his name?
He didn't have a mask either.
@@nesetans Yeah but Omar is known. Brandon was only known as a weakness.
Was Brandon wearing a mask the other times he was with Omar? Was Brandon wearing a mask when Omar was publicly displaying affection toward him?
@@Wobakoff And Brandon has a much more unique appearance.
Running in a trap in that type of area can't really require no mask because they'll see it from a mile away plus them days from what the show really based off which is like late eighties to the 90's it was no point to wear a mask then power is important
D’Angelo was actually right though, what’s the point of sending Stinkum if they expect D to cover security too 😂 then Omar starts terrorizing their whole organization proving that it wasn’t the pit’s fault it was just Omar being on a different level
You are right. Stinkhum was providing security. No point on him hanging around.
WRONG!! D was responsible for the security of his shop, Barksdale's product and cash. Ultimately responsible "at the end of the day "
Getting robbed to gospel music is next level savage 😂
😂😂😂😂
3:01 Wee Bey's body language is masterful. Everyone in the pit knows exactly what he's saying from his gestures alone. Turn off the sound and see for yourself.

Considering how much Omar trades on his rep later on in the series, you'd think all the dealers would have known who he was for years by now and he wouldn't have cared that Brandon said his name. Had the writers just not yet thought to establish that part of his character this early in the show?
Initially he was not going to survive, but they loved the actor Michael K Williams. The creator David Simon said that they figured out a way to continue his storyline
Omar was originally planned to be only Season 1, but Michael K. Williams and his character surpassed initial expectations of popularity.
I want to know why they never heard of Omar before that robbery. Was this Omar's first robbery ever?
@@notrab13So the exact same thing which happened with Jesse in Breaking Bad.
I explain it to myself that Barksdale from the Baltimore perspective has risen to power recently. It's mentioned when Stringer talks to Marlo that drug kingpins have come and go.Either way, they should have known Omar by then. Maybe they just haven't seen him and wouldn't have been looking for him and his crew if Brandon didn't say his name, instead just thinking they're some random stick-up men?
Pandemic! Got that pandemic! If u know u know.
WMD!!
Bird Flu!
"Red TOPS! Spider BAGS!!"
“Where it at shordie?” Is my favorite scene in the series!!
Never noticed until now. Omar changed his headgear awefully quick from a skully to a doo rag while scoping the stash. I wonder if the editors ever noticed that faux pas.
Intro to a legendary character omar little ( rip Michael k Williams) and bey chewing out d will never not be hilarious " you in a goddamn sammich shop LOL

"Yo Omar come Oon!" Stupid!
Like bitch don’t say my government on a whole ass ROBBERY
That's what Omar wanted though.
I remember the scene when he robbed Old Face Andre he told Ronaldo that the whole point of them not wearing a mask or anything is because Marlo supposed to know who robbed him.
@@almightysyg861 then why he react like that? Bad writing?
@@righton129 In my opinion, he reacted like that because Omar wanted to keep messing with the crew and Brandon wanted him to stop and leave. Omar enjoyed trolling gangsters
I thought he was gonna shoot that kid after that
Hey this channel some heat, i love this show and being able to watch tgese clips takes me back
Never understood why Omar is as mad about Brandon. I mean, if you rob someone especially a king pin then you know retaliation is coming
He was mad about how they tortured him. But he definitely knew retaliation was coming
"They need not do him like that"
The game is the game.
@@jeffrey1261 he need not to steal from killers 😂
It was how they did him, is what he was upset about!!
Omars reaction to Brandon saying his name was honestly hilarious 😂😂😂😂
Omar hat switching from scene to scene. U see that😂👀
I wonder if Omar used birdshot instead of buckshot during his capers. I feel like if it was buckshot, dude’s leg would have been separated below the knee after that blast.
0:07 i wish we'd gotten a look at the dude that was apparently just standing there staring at bodie. I like to think it was some junky just mean mugging bodie for no reason lol. Or maybe he saw through Bodie's tough guy act. And Poot was really dedicated at making sure all them got a vial. Dude was concentrating so hard.
Bodie was hustling full time in the streets and participating in shootouts. If that's a tough guy act then nobody is tough In your eyes. 😂
The guy might have been just staring out into space while waiting to get his fix. Bodie did not have a lot of patience with his junkie customers.
The god damn sammich shop was my favorite character. I wish they did more with him

Brandon was never that bright. The fact that he dropped Omar’s name during their robbery of a highly violent Barksdale crew who gonna torture/murder them when they got their hands on them told me right then and there that Brandon wasn’t longed for this world.

Brandon's death is not highlighted enough. He's basically the Ned Stark of the Wire. He dies and Omar goes on a war against the Barksdale organization and sets so many events to happen in the story.

Because they wanted you to know it was them. The name and face makes the diffrence. The trademark
You … Flock of Seagulls …
Idk how Wee Bay and the Barkstale crew never heard of Omar before this
I’ve always thought this was a considerable plot hole
Because only really Bird knew him from their time down the cut. Omar never had the rep he would come to have in later seasons, he got that going to war with Avon. In season 2, people think he's dead before he comes back to town. Then, being a fan favourite they jumped the shark with him from season 3 onwards.
@@billybatts8283 yeah but he’s an established stick up kid
Someone would have known him, if not by face, by name
He’s been robbing mid to high level dealers work for years and shot the boy Mike Mike in his hind parts
These things don’t go unnoticed especially when people like wee bay and stink um have a job as enforcers
Even if we bay said “nah homeboy locked up, must be someone using his name” it would have closed that plot hole
Imagine being secretary of defence and not knowing about a terrorist group at all
Bird heard of Omar, they was locked up at the same prison at the same time.
Like how did Tejadas never heard of The St. Patrick Family. Both Families were right across the hall from each other so to speak.
Win that
Hell naw. Y'all niccas supposed to be on point. Nobody would have run up on me or my crew so easily like that if I was running a trap.
It happens to everyone that has a trap house 😂. You will eventually get robbed
Mask off
Does anyone think it was uncharacteristically cruel for Omar to shoot the low-tier dude in his knee just to say where the stash was? Always thought that was a little out of pocket for him.
He did the same thing in Season 5 when hunting for Marlo. Shot a random soldier in the leg to send a message back to Marlo... The Game is the Game.
He said in court while testify he don't hurt no civilians so drug dealers are not innocent
@@mikeclemets863yeah totally, I guess it just seemed harsh because he seemed to have a softer spot for people who weren't "upper management" and actively trying to harm him. Even a pistol shot to the leg would seem more tame, but the shotgun blast just seemed gratuitous. As you can tell, I have overthought this scene.
"As you can see, he shot him below the waist, so it isn't attempted murder!"
If the guy had answered honestly first time, he wouldn't have been shot. Omar needed to make an example out of him, so "Shorty" didn't hesitate to answer correctly the first time. No time to play on a heist.
They could of at least had guys that were close to Arnold's size
