- A tour of some of Kissimmee / Orlando's best, wackiest and most memorable gift shops in the theme park capital of the world! The giant wizard, giant mermaid, mural-covered buildings on I-Drive, Highway 192 and near Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld Orlando, that have AMAZING bargains on theme park souvenirs, gifts, collectibles, Disney pins, Universal, Harry Potter gifts, apparel and so much more!! I bring you for a tour of some of my favorite Orlando tourist gift shops to share some of my special memories of moving to Orlando and why some of them mean so much to me! This is part of my story and part of the story of everyone who has visited this area and has made memories visiting these roadside treasures! A lot of positive energy portrayed in this channel, which tends to influence positive things. There was a time... Long ago.... where kings and queens spared no expense to have muses, and consolers that had a positive influence on them (modern example.... Queen Elizabeth the II's ladies in waiting) we often spare no expense for the wrong things, and it leads to the wrong attitudes around us.

I remember going to these types of shop souvenir shopping when I went to Disney as a kid. This video brought back a ton of memories 🥺 thank you Jackie for the reminder 🙂
Fun fact: There is also a very very big orange here in Montreal, Quebec. It is called Orange Julep. I don't know the history of it but it is a well loved landmark and a pretty good fast-food restaurant that also serves orange juice.

@@SuperEnthused i knew every single one of those shops from at least driving by (they're hard to overlook lol). my faves are somehow always the wizard ones, dunno why, but maybe because it was the very first gift shop i ever stepped in all those years ago.
this video could've been an hour long and you just roaming silently through every isle and i would've loved it just as much. gosh darn it i miss orlando!
i know that feeling of being home too. everytime i step outside the airport and get that first breath of warm, humid air, i can't stop smiling, cause i know i am back and the next days are gonna be awesome! i wish i could just move there like you did.

The first time I ever rented a house in Kissimmee, the owner-provided directions (yes, this was pre-GPS, pre-cell phone and even pre-map quest printouts 😂) said to stay on 192 until you saw the giant Wizard gift shop and then make a turn. It said you can’t miss it! Two hours and lots of frustration later, we learned from a local that there were two giant wizard gift shops and we were near the wrong one 😂😫 Where do you find not one but two giant wizard gift shops? Only in Florida, my friends! Great video, Jackie - brings back many fun and torturous memories! 🤣😍

Haven't been to Orlando in over 2 decades, but remember walking International Drive and going to aall those gift shops. I don't kknow if I'll ever get there again. Thanks for the tag along and some great memories.😀

I remember seeing this shop when I was younger visiting Disney with my family brought back good memories.
The first time I went to Orlando was 16 years ago when I was 15. I will be back this December and I'm looking for interesting and fun places to go (besides the parks XD) and take my nephew and nieces, it's their first Disney Trip. So I want to thank you for this video, it came at the perfect time!! We are all so excited to go!

OMG! These places are so cool. I would love to check these out on one of our trips. I'm all about picking up something fun from my trips and really love picking up gifts for grandkids, nieces and nephews. I Love this idea.

These kind of giant gift shops also exist in south Texas along the gulf coast like South Padre Island and Corpus Christi. Was in Orlando for my first Disney experience ever (I'm 44) and saw these shops & it took me back to South Texas.

Galveston has a few stores like that too. Most are on the Strand but there's Murdoch's Bathhouse on Seawall Blvd.

We loved this video! We consider these shops to be a prime example of Americana and love strolling through them. Whether in Bar Harbor Maine or Orlando these places just scream “Vacation!”

So cool! I love seeing little tourist trap destinations in your line-up, places that really show what Florida is all about. Speaking of which, what I’d really like to see is a Jackie “Fireside Chat” talking about living in Orlando. Many of us dream of doing just that! But how is it really? How bad is the traffic for day-to-day living? What do you feel is lacking in a life in Orlando? How expensive is it? You know, that kind of stuff. I guess it may not fit the focus of your channel, but I’d still value your opinion. Enjoy your day!

The gift shop was excellent. One of the nice characteristics of these stores besides the very reasonable prices is the cleanliness and well cared for merchandise. Everything is in its place, folded neatly, etc. they are worth a look. Great video Jackie!👍

One of those gators in the "Gift shop" gift shop, was all like "Come at me bro!!!". 😂 I think I went to the orange gift shop back in the late 80's with my family.

I love these stores. They're part of some of my favourite Florida memories. As a child I loved getting the baskets filled with shells, and the little license plate with my name on it (yep, this was in the 70s). I also bought a miniature orange tree that is still going strong, and flowers every few months, although the oranges it produces are small and bitter. As an aside, I also really like the hair cut. It looks good.

Since before Imoved to Centrsl Florida I visited Orlando and Kissimmee! With that said I have visted over the last 10 years every place you went to! Thanks for showing them again and brining back some neat memories!
Great as always. I generally avoided these touristy shops but some of the prices seemed pretty good even on the authentic merchandise. We are going to check them out next time.
