Need to point out something: The red ribbony things in the game version was supposed to be Fukujinzuke. You know, that red stringy things one usually got when eating curry rice. Also the daikon should be grated and not shredded. Fun fact, spiced grated daikon in japanese is called momiji-oroshi, which named like that because it looks like 'flurry of Momiji (leaves)'.
In Singapore, if you go to a hawker centre and head off to a Korean or Japanese cuisine stall, you can get a grilled mackerel set with rice (and kimchi and fried anchovies if its from a Korean stall) I imagine it tasting somewhat close to this?
Even though i don't like seafood as much, smoked fish is the exception. I love tinapa with tomatoes and garlic rice, but i'll surely try this Japanese style fish as well :)

I doubt that you'll eat the leaves, but a surprising number of leaves and flowers are edible. This includes some really nice looking ones. However, I can't recommend eating decorations...

This looks really good, but you still have residual stomach on the fish which is really bad for you, gotta learn how to gut fish better my man. Mostly you need to make sure you remove all the bloodline D:
