    You must visit Sajek Valley.
    Sajek valley is famous for its natural beauty. The valley is surrounded by mountains, dense forest, grasslands hilly tracks. Many small rivers flow through the mountains among which Kachalong and Machalong are notable.

      @@mohammademon9343 Foreigners need a prior permit for visiting Sajek from the office of Deputy Commissioner in Rangamati. Locals need to register their name in an army camp on their way to Sajek (half an hour from Khagrachari). It takes less than 5 minutes.

    I am from Bangladesh, and currently reside in Blackpool(I call it UK's Cox's Bazar). It's pretty cool here, but I can bet you can't feel that warm wind and the mixed sound of coconut tree leaves and sea waves anywhere else. Such a peaceful vibe. And the food! Once you taste our food from Bangladesh there is no turning back. Anyways Im glad that you're enjoying our culture and grateful for promoting the good stuff we have. Keep up the good work.

    In case of Saint Martins Island, I was expecting a different view. Actually, in saint martins island, the thing that will give you an 'island' vibe, is huge clumps/bushes/forest of 'screw pine' plants. On the contrast of white beach sand, greenery of these plants will give you a heavenly feel. I'm afraid if you had found that part. I hope next time you will find that place called 'Chhera diya' or severed Island, the last end part of saint martins island, that has the greatest concentration of these plants!!

    Hi Carrie, thank you for this wonderful vlog & it's the first one of yours I've seen so far & I'll be checking out more of course being a fellow Brit (of Bangladeshi heritage) from Chester!
    May I ask why drones aren't permitted on the island, & if you were to fly would they strictly enforce their local law?

    • @carriepatsalis
      @carriepatsalis  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Awww thanks for watching! So I was asked at the entrance to the boat if I had a drone as they are prohibited and I didn’t want to risk it.. remember it’s close to Myanmar and there are tensions currently.. (for eg ferries aren’t going their usual route from Teknaf).. as a foreigner you also have to sign in once you reach the island.. felt a level above normal.. I do sometimes risk using my drone abroad when it’s meant to be a no but make a judgement when there and this didn’t feel like one of those occasions.. I have a very very long stick for my insta 360 in these occasions.. but the quality doesn’t compare..

    • @RuePhoto
      @RuePhoto ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@carriepatsalis Thanks for your reply. I had no problems flying one throughout the country but encountered problems when I was leaving Dhaka Airport at their final security check. They wanted to keep my memory card as it was a larger capacity to what they're used to & they thought I was doing some kind of covert surveillance.
      I had my vlogging cam to hand & explained my business even though it wasn't any of theirs. Just to keep the peace I said you can check what's on it, but I've uploaded everything to the cloud for safe keeping. They even went on about the batteries & should have put everything in my checked luggage!
      Luckily they let me through with all items intact. Are they silly & ignorant enough to not know the safety rule in being that it's a no no to put Lithium Polymer batteries in the hold?!!
      Anyway I hope you don't encounter this on your departure as I find the security section of flying the most stressful!
      Enjoy the rest of your time there & I hope to catch more of your visual delights between my own editing as I've a few up too of my recent trip there 🇧🇩 😊

      @golamrafibadhon2549 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haya @Rue. Hope this comment finds you in a good health. St Martin's Island is basically a border area of Bangladesh. As all other countries the restrictions are quite strict in the border areas. If you know the places you will find a lot of military equipments and bases in St Martin’s Island and a warship is always coasting close to the Island. So it is restricted to use a drone in the island. But as a local we don’t have to go through any checking that allow us to take drones and maybe take a few footages. But its obvious that as a foreigner Carrie would have to go through extra checking and she took a good judgemental call by not taking the drone with her. If got caught she would have to go through a lot of hassle and the trip would’ve been completely ruined.

      @@golamrafibadhon2549 Thanks for this useful info brother!
      In that case I might get away with bringing one since I look like a local, albeit speaking Sylheti with an English accent lol!
      I was there once in 2009 but for a few hours on a day trip from Teknaf, sadly the trip was far too short, but next time inshallah it'll be for longer.
      Bangladesh is truly an amazing place to vlog & is en vogue at the moment which is why the likes of Gabriel Traveller, Daud Kim, Jay Palfery & Wandering Emma have recently visited with also the return of Sun Kissed Bucket List & Dodo Explorers!

    What is the easiest route to visit St. Martin's Island from Dhaka?

    • @carriepatsalis
      @carriepatsalis  ปีที่แล้ว

      At the minute the route has changed due to Myanmar issues.. so I had to go from cox’s bazar (you could fly there) and get a boat from there.. worth checking if that has changed.. fastest boat journey used to be teknaf I believe.. not sure how you’d get there from Dhaka.. but it might not be operating yet..

      That’s very kind thank you! Dubai is cool.. I stopped there on the way to Bangladesh briefly.. it’s soooo expensive though isn’t it 😱

      Thank you so much for quick reply. Yes it's little expensive but no worries if it's okay with I would like to sponsor you or take care of you during your stay in Dubai. I have my own home, own cars, you don't have to worry for anything. I really liked the way you present and sound of your voice with videos.
      Thank you 😊

    One thing we must admit, your mindset is much poetic. You just search for everything good out of all gross and let us see that. Only a nice person on earth can do so. And we see that nice person is you... May God almighty bless you always with all love and happiness. ❤❤ Stay blessed.

    I've never been to St. Martin's... hopefully, I will soon. But seeing its raw beauty, I felt like I had been there the whole time. I hope that you have Sunderbans on your "to-explore" list after finishing that Chittagong part.

    That was a great video. I went last time in st. Martins back in 2007, and there were no motorised vehicles and they switched off electricity at 9pm every night. And the stars we saw at those nights were probably I would say we were very close to the heaven.

    I really like your videos. They are well organized and good commentary. I like your sense of humor the most and that makes videos so friendly like I'm with you. BTW, I've seen some parts of couple of your videos little opaque like some sort of dust or oil in lens, may watch out for dust in lens more often while shooting. Anyway, I bet you'll grow to the top really soon....🖖

      Thanks.. and yes can’t always get perfect shots when on the run and filming yourself whilst trying to speak and move quickly etc etc.. the decision then ends up whether to lose all footage or use some of it.. always a balancing act
