I just started watching TH-cam RV videos during the pandemic. I have a 21ft River Forest Mini Lite. I camp with my brother and sister in law, not brave enough to camp alone, but that's ok we enjoy our trips together. I sure enjoy your channel!! Safe travels and happy camping!! :)
We can’t wait til we can visit your Texas State Parks, they are gorgeous! Wondering how the quarantine situation is traveling from state to state from FL to TX. Don’t want to be told we might have to stay quarantined someplace for 2 add’l weeks. The GA & TN State Parks have been exceptional in our >30 years RVing. Our FL state parks are from one extreme to the other; many are exquisite, well maintained and offer much to do and learn but others are quite old, old, old and in need of updating. In defense though they are so heavily used and difficult to get reservations that I suppose it’s also difficult to update them. Thanks for the nice invitation. Be safe & happy 🏕
Enjoy watching y’all’s videos as a retired state employee we often use state parks and going putrid creek during the week of thanksgiving so maybe we will see y’all around the parks
What beautiful state parks you have in Texas!! What exactly is a core of engineers park??? I'm not familiar with that. Love the information you give out! Hope your both doing well and staying safe!
Did y'all see Andy and Opie? LoL Looks like a really nice park. I haven't stayed at any Corp of Engineer parks, yet. Usually it is a free camping area or a state park that I stay at. Thanks for sharing the information.
We’ve only stayed at one Texas State parks (Lake Livingston and we really enjoyed it). We have stayed at a few Texas Corps of Engineers though and love them! Thanks for featuring these and pointing out the differences. Very informative video!
In the research phase of buying an RV. In your experience do you need to have something 30ft or shorter at the state parks and COE?? Don’t want slides but also need two separate sleeping areas. This is hard to accomplish 🤦🏼♀️
Thanks for the tours of COE and State Parks in Texas. I’m in Houston right now, unfortunately, in a motel. My husband didn’t “think” I could handle my little 17 foot tow trailer by myself even though I have hooked and unhooked it and towed it before. He bought the trailer for me but only wants me to use it with him and he HATES camping! Go figure. I am about to leave Houston to go back to Louisiana after a wonderful time visiting my very best friend of 40+ years and her 90-year-old mom. I’m hoping this fall to come back for a couple of weeks with my trailer. There are parks (mostly concrete) near her in S.W. Houston. In the meantime, I’m going to prove to my husband that I CAN handle the trailer by hooking up, driving locally for awhile and we’ve got two local private RV parks and a KOA in my community. I’ll try it close to home.
Ah, Mission Tejas. Nice place. Spent several Thanksgiving Holidays there while our daughters had basketball tournaments in town. Good memories. Love the Corps parks too. Great prices with America the Beautiful passes. We split our camping trips between the two types pretty much equally.
Hi Ladies: its your neighbor here in Brownwood - rather in Early. We are looking to replace our RV right now and love yours. Can you tell me how and where you found it and maybe some tips on where to look? There are only the two of us now so we need something small, preferably with a stand alone shower since we are older. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
We looked everywhere on line. None of them were exactly what we wanted. We found this one in Sanger, TX. It was very gently used. We had some modifications made, and it was truly ours.
@@TwoTiredTeachers we looked at one just like yours in Springtown but not good. It had been abused and needed way to much work. Not for us - we're too old for that. We'll just keep looking and hopefully the right one will come along.
hello from the cloudy ozarks milena and sharon!! many great memories at davy crocket campsites!! here in the ozarks i find very similiar as in texas, but i prefer to boondock cause of greater variety of locations available to enjoy! tight lines and grace be with you!!!!
I really enjoy your videos. Going on a 3 month vacation through OK, TX and NM. can’t wait to try some of the Texas parks you have highlighted. Safe travels
Great video! I’ve found between COE and state parks that they are my first to look for over commercial campgrounds like KOA that pack you in. All at a better price with a much better experience. Thanks for the content. Bill
Nice information. Thank you
You are most welcome.

We have traveled out of state and have had no problems.
We just state at Copperas Cove , all the RV sites had covered tables . Lots of sites near the water . Very clean !
Copperas creek
You probably said Copperas Cove because that's what we mistakenly called it. Whatever its name, it's a beautiful park.
Enjoy watching y’all’s videos as a retired state employee we often use state parks and going putrid creek during the week of thanksgiving so maybe we will see y’all around the parks
We love our state parks, and we hope to meet you sometime.
Thanks Ladies, another good video.
Happy Camping 😎
Thanks for watching.

Army Corps of Engineers parks are public campgrounds usually much less expensive than RV resorts. They are nice, but we prefer Texas State Parks.

No Andy and Opie on this trip.😉
Always look for your videos before going to a Texas park. Which COE park is this video from?
I think this video is from Copperas Creek, near Comanche.
Actually this video is from Mill Creek campground, near Jasper.
You can’t say no to that. 💕 love East Texas
We love it, too.
Great info thanks for sharing! 🤙
You bet!
Those Texas State Park police could have been Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Wardens whom are also recognized as Texas State Police officers.
Thanks for the info. We didn't know that.
We’ve only stayed at one Texas State parks (Lake Livingston and we really enjoyed it). We have stayed at a few Texas Corps of Engineers though and love them! Thanks for featuring these and pointing out the differences. Very informative video!
Thank you very much!👍
Good job!
Thanks.
Great video ladies!
Thank you.
We love both COE and State Parks but we have to say that state parks are the best in our opinion!
We agree. They offer more trails, and seem to have more secluded sites.

At most Texas State Parks and COE parks we've been to, you could probably be okay with 35'. I wouldn't want to go much longer.

I do hope you are able to come back to Texas. We have a lot to see and do in the state.

Liz, in just over 6 months, I'll be 62, and we'll be able to get the COE discounts with the America the Beautiful pass.
Two Tired Teachers A babe in the woods. 😉 You will love that America the Beautiful pass!
@@lizchilders4154 We are eagerly waiting.

Thanks, Phil. Mission Tejas is one of our favorite campgrounds.
I might add that the national passes can be used at the Corp of Engineer parks. My America the Beautiful pass gets me in at half price.
In March I will turn 62 and get that benefit.
I loved this video! Thank you so much.
We try to do videos that are helpful.

TX is a big state. You may want to consider getting a Texas State Park Pass to help defer expenses.
So useful! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!

We definitely agree with you, Bill. We do love our Texas State Parks.
Hi,
I have one question, can any one book a stay at COE parks as I am Canadian
I would think that they are open to anyone. You might call a park and ask.
GOD loves

Amen.🙏
