- "Some rivalries are built on respect. Others on hatred. Sometimes it's a mix of both."
RIVALRY is the story of two teams crossing paths and trading victories throughout the 2009 PSP National Paintball Series.
One team has been there, scaled the mountain only to see it crumble beneath its feet. They are trying to rebuild and prove lighting can strike twice.
The other is a collection of kids from the middle of nowhere, with no paintball pedigree and no chance in hell. They just know how to win.
Shot over the course of 7 months, between March and October, from Phoenix to Florida, RIVALRY takes you on a ride as Sacramento XSV and Omaha Vicious trade victories, beat downs, and hard feelings all on a quest to a win World Cup, and earn a spot in the NXL Professional League for the next season.
The film is narrated by legendary commentator and retired professional paintball player Matt Marshall, and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Dan Napoli.
Rivalry features music from The Starting Line, Strike Anywhere, Hot Water Music, Moonlit Sailor, A Wilhelm Scream, and more.
The film is produced by Planet Eclipse in association with Deep Elm Records, Understood Clothing, and Epitaph Records.
Approximate runtime. 50 minutes released on Feb. 06, 2010
This is how I remember paintball videos being, it was weird to come back and watch them with all this dubstep n super HD slow motion stuff.
cough hk army cough
I don’t like either I usually just watch the games themselves
Here in 2019, this is still my favorite team from then. A true bottom to the top story. God I miss playing this wonderful sport. Teaches you how to be a real competitor at every position.
You should watch “Heroes for a day” the XSV story. They were no overnight success either.
THIS IS THE HEROES FOR A DAY!!
Give us More!!!
here in 2022, every time i hear some old punk rock song that i dont recognize, i can see 5 guys coming off the start bunker shooting. idk how to explain it....
I missed Matty Marshall's narration so much, after *Heroes for a Day"...
Right isn’t that fitting he’d narrate this also.
i'm so glad the dubstep fad ended. you were definitely right 7 years ago.
fuckin vicious was the swaggiest team. loved the longsleeves and grill combo, shit looked tight. RIP
Vicious is my favorite ever pro team
A Wilhelm Scream... Good fucking choice. I always thought they'd be great pb music.
Cant help but laugh when they drop the plaque at 48:20
In 2014, I don't understand why a video would ever be made unavailable on mobile.
Planet eclipse TH-cam channel if you want to watch just look for it. They made it
Same here
Watching this in 2022, they look like theyre playing in baggy Jnco pants
Says the video is unavailable
Does anyone from viscous still play??
Not working. Video unavailable. Please fix.
Why can't I watch it
Mee too i cant watch it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
vicious is MUCH better team then XSV. XSV should be demoted and give that pro spot to someone who deserves it more
the rumor is that XSV is being dropped to D1 but sadly Vicious is done after their best year
If Vicious is so damn good, how come they haven't been a championship team?
Vicious is a great team. It is sad to see them leave the PSP after one of their best years since playing pro. With that being said, many of the players will not be done playing professional paintball. So we will see a lot of the guys again.
Having a win makes a team good? No making it to the highest division in the top league in the world proves that they are a very good team and if we wanna be technical no they don't have a Champions League win but if were just saying "Pro" win Challengers Division World Cup 2013. Sure XSV had their prime time so did Shock. But that doesn't make them better than Vicious at this point and time. Vicious is the CXBL champions and is currently ranked as 4th best team in the world even if they're done.
XSV has been around for at least 10 years at pro. Ya they have been in a slump for the past few years. Watch some of the videos I have of them on my channel, and tell me that they don't deserve to be pro.
