Got confirmation on Ben and tardio. We will see if Ben can play a more aggressive style and allow tardio to come over more as he has successfully. Interesting times!
Gabe pulled the Kevin Durant, what a snake move to JW Johnson too. JW thought he had a partner lined up for 2025 and now Tardio joining Ben is just messed up. I want to know who JW teams up with more than anything.
What about the pickleball club in Florida shutting down operations and liquidating assets? They had a few under construction and closed the one by Lakewood Ranch..
The reported average income of $261,000 for women is a classic example of the saying, "Statistics don't lie, but liars use statistics." If it's true that ALW earns seven figures (potentially around $3 million?) and the next five women collectively make close to $2 million, what does that leave for the remaining players? What is the median income for the PPA women? It will be interesting to see how salaries change when the three-year contracts expire. As Travis rightly says, if players can earn more from appearance fees and prize money elsewhere they won't be signing non-compete contracts with PPA.
I agree, Ben waited too long to make a change, Haden, clinger and Gab will have more success outside of partnering with Ben, their stock will rise way faster outside Ben given their success. Personality mismatch with Alshon and Newman won’t work. Augie Ge would be my guess or Matt for a short term fix. Ideally as a fan seeing Ben partner with a variety of players this year would be amazing. Great to see some changes in partnerships. Was getting pretty stale seeing the same matchups every week. Men’s doubles will be exciting again on 2025.
@@chrispaulsen5746 Ah! should be interesting, what is JW doing? would be nice to see more variety and will be interesting to see if Ben adapts to a more dominant Right side player
Well it’s Gabe. Just announced.
Travis salty ass
I agree with Travis. The boss move would have been if Gabe rejected the offer.

Thank you guys. Always great information. I'm living the pickleball life here in Vietnam, Da Nang. BTW. Great winter tans fellas. 😉
As a Luke. The funniest most clever name I ever got called was in high school. A buddy came up with Lucas Puke(as) nose full of mucus
This triggered my fight or flight response
Great pod…had me laughing a lot!

I keep thinking Tyson mcguffin would be interesting as he knows Ben better than anyone and has been playing right for a while now

@ not sure what JW is doing. Ben admitted there will be some changes and he is prepared to let Gabe take over more court at times.
