The reason I liked Emongg, mostly came to a video he posted a year+ ago. He had someone who I think spoke English as a second language. It wasn't bad just noticeable. A third party was really giving the poor dude shit over his accent and Emongg did the right thing and shut that shit down. He happened to get the guy who didn't speak English as their language again and kicked the shit out of the asshole that was rude.
That told me all I needed to know about Jeff's character. He's a good person. Through him I also found you. I think your a person of decent character. You've gone out of your way to find entertainment in old content trying to do your best. Its respectable.

I played against his Zarya in OW2 (I'm a masters healer) and it was humbling, to put it mildly. That said, watching his stream back after to see the different ways he rolled me taught me a lot
I feel like quake doesn’t fully understand yet that he’s a tank player now, he can’t just frag his way out of every situation anymore
I agree and because of this I feel like Quaked and others like Zbra will suffer for this as they have to re-adjust their playstyle to suit their mains. It can be done but these type of players are Goated because of their aggressive in and out style. I have seen it work but like Flats said, up against a player like Emongg it's a super difficult matchup.
@@Ge0rdieDan_ Zbra’s actually doing pretty good with the adjustment, though he still sometimes tries way too hard for a flank and just kind of leaves his team behind. But he does seem to understand his importance in helping his team capture points

i think you are right there. in 5v5 with only 1 tank discord needs to be on a cooldown in order to not be completely broken. like from the moment discord gets lost on 1 target, there should be a maybe 4-5 seconds long cooldown.

What if you had to look in the general direction of the target to maintain the discord orb? Not talking LoS, it's more like a moira beam but with waaay more range
I love that Flats said we should just say how we feel about Discord Orb and not suggest solutions cuz they're probably wrong as players don't know anything about game design yet the comments are full of suggestions from *experienced game designers*

They could just change orbs so you actually have to hit the orb to get the benefits
my take on it is to make discord orb a passive that adds the discord effect for a second or two when he hits someone with his primary / secondary fire.
also deep down i desire the zen experimental change that allowed him to super-jump by holding space
His dva is legit scary too, we all crap on his dps aim but his tracking on dva is nuts
My lil brother is guilty of talking advantage of Zens power when used as a hard dps it’s like a Moira phase all over again.

To leap frog off you idea for zen discord needing to be an active ability what about the idea that it applys to targets you hit. You're on the right track though. Needs to be less "set and forget"

Maybe look at some OWL replays? Is that a thing you can get? I know you used to be able to get World Cup replays back when they released the replay system but I don't know if that carried over to OWL.
I feel kinda bad for Doom mains, because you really can’t get away with one tricking tanks as much as you can literally any other role in OW2.

regarding that balance talk about doom i think removing the slow on slam is borderline killing any value from slam, as a doom player from 1, It feels horrible to hit slam in 2. it literally feels almost like i hit people with an aoe quick melee. there is almost no value in the ability other than a get me away tool.
I think they should bring the slam-slow back but only if that slam meter reaches 100
@@TSGC16 Nah, the slow was broken and made playing support against him miserable. He is weak but the way to buff a hero isn't to give them something that makes an entire role impossible to have fun on. Same reason discord is broken.
@@avatarofdeath I dont think it makes an entire support role impossible to have fun on, there are so many ways to counter slam even with the slow.
@@avatarofdeath But if i remember correctly, that time it was broken was during the time that support was also very weak. I think the first beta.
Then during the beginning of the second beta, they buffed support while also nerfing Doom to oblivion.
Now that support has been buffed and Doom has received slight buffs too, i think Doom just needs a less-OP version of that slam slow back to make him a well balanced character again.
Not like he cant be slept, kicked, faded from, speed boosted from, GA'd from 🤔 Pretty sure every support has an escape from him. So having to outplay one slow really does not kill the support role
What if Zen's discord is replaced with a damage boost orb that he can put on a teammate like the healing? It'd still be kind of "set and forget" but at least it wouldn't feel as oppressive for tanks. Plus if you want to damage boost your tank it'd be kind of a juggling game of swapping healing for damage boost like a mercy pocket.
I feel like the zen discord fix is knock it down a few % and make it a temp debuff for 4-5 sec. On a 3 second cd so you can't spam it.
I honestly think the strongest thing about it is the LoS "set it & forget it" build.
what is taking more than usual for team mate to walk in with emong? their dead braincells, tell me about it.
I think discord should be tied to Zen shooting. For example the first shot he lands on someone would be discorded. It's almost like his orbs would mark targets. There's more to it but that's the gist, I'm a zen main and I agree the set it n forget it is a thing of the past.

@@Nhahuhsbbjf i have no idea. There was a patch for the base game predownloading so i was just assuming the beta would end when that went live
Zen's orb should be a little less damage resistance decrease, perhaps about 20-22%, and it should have a break time regardless of LoS. Maybe a little longer in LoS.
doom players have gotten too used to having an almost broken DPS character that can go into skyboxes and free kills dropping from the skies. the whole meta needs to be changed to one that doesn't rely on luck, minimal teamwork, or map geography exploitation.
Don't really agree with you on Doom. But everyone can have their own opinion, I suppose.
