    My son and I were lucky enough to meet Colt at the Clemson game. My son got to see the player I looked up too when I was younger. Thank you Quinn, Looking forward to Arch. Hook Em!

    Colt, I was just in elementary school when you were playing at UT, but I still remember watching you work and cheering from the TV. I even became the quarterback of my little league team and wanted number 12 so that I could be just like you. I loved watching you play, thanks for everything you've done at Texas and beyond.

    Colt - if there was a position for you on the UT staff, would that be something you'd consider? QB analyst/Coach? Just out of curiosity. 🤘😁

    We’re going to miss Quinn more than most fans understand. And he deserved to have his college career end better than that ridiculous play.
    Having said that, this team is going to look wildly different next year, in a lot of very good ways. Definitely excited about that.
    Love ya Colt 🤘🏻
    Btw, about 25% of the defensive fouls committed by OSU were actually called lol.
    There needs to be a new rule regarding dbs grabbing WRs and holding them, or really any form of defensive PI. It’s a particular problem in the sec.
    My suggestion: 3 DPI calls on any 1 player and he’s disqualified for the rest of the game.

    • @bhziker
      @bhziker 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The college rule is very different from the pro rule. Very rarely in college will you see a DB called for a PI if he is mugging the WR but looking back at the ball and attempting to make a play on it. The rule allows for contact without it being a penalty, and yes as a Buckeye fan all season number 1 has been as grabby as a HS freshman on his first date at the home coming dance.

    6:00 it’s so hilarious we have to tippy toe around Quinn talk. I love him and appreciate all he’s done. But it says a lot that we’re physically unable to say “he’s welcome back at Texas if that’s what he decides”. It’s implicit, everyone is ready to move on to Arch. And he’s been playing with that monkey on his back the entire season. That alone should prove something to NFL scouts. Many other kids would’ve broken under that pressure and scrutiny.
    He held on for so long, and eventually it did break him as his nightmares became a reality at the cotton bowl.
    A tragic figure of sorts. I wish him all the best. He will be remembered.

    Looking for the Manning era to begin. He's very versatile and going to shake things up for defenses. You have to be versatile in college and Manning will bring in home. Just curious what we are going to have left after this year. We should be good.....

    We also, need a monster runningback like former UT alum Henry Melton 6'3 275 or use one of our DL as short yardage runningback.

      I think baxter being back next year will be huge for us. He should be one of the best, if not the best rb in the country.

    • @benjaminfinley9314
      @benjaminfinley9314 13 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      RBs often aren’t the difference makers in short yardage. It’s strength, leverage, timing and athleticism on the OL. Big monster RBs can’t do much in a phone booth with no daylight.
      I’m optimistic about CJ, but wouldn’t be shocked if he’s never quite the same. ACL can stay in a guys head for his entire career.
      Hoping he proves me dead wrong though 🤘🏻

    i tell you what this feels a lot better than the year after colt until just a year ago. thats a long time it took to be relevant again. no way in hell is sark to blame for anything other than getting us back in contention. 1st year in the sec and were two field goals from being champs. i dont like the whole morality wins but this is only the 2nd year we can say texas was is one of the best teams in college football so lets just savor that for the moment and be glad that we didnt go 6-6 or have a loss to kansas and im not talking about state. yall know what im talking about bc we all went through some 13 hard years. cant wait to see arch the manning and what texas looks like with him under center. its going to be explosive.

    Colt, love ya bro ... But come on ... Yeah, let's turn this one yard play into a 9 yard play and that should be easier, right? ... Gotta go downhill, under center, with Arch and some big boys behind him ... 4 times if needed ... If it ain't in the end zone by then, then Ohio State deserves all that credit ... The play calls were wrong and bad, Colt ... Just say it ...

    Colt, I know you have to back Sark no matter what. It's political. But we had a chance to make a huge play and gain the momentum back in that game. Sark did not use the talent he had available. He was so stuck on Ewers and never used Manning much at all when he could have. This is not about Ewers feelings or any ONE person. Use your talents that you have. Arch is 6'4" 225 and can run. Ewers, cannot run very well. We needed to switch personnel. And you have Ewers rolling left which is harder to throw from etc. Mistakes. And Sark also did not use Helm as much as he should have. This was a disastrous ending to a great season. And it should have been, and could have been, so different. Sark blew it man, sorry.
