I have been resin printing very seriously for 2 years . Please for your safety wear gloves until the model has went through the curing process . That way there wont be any allergic reactions later on or any other infections . Thanks for sharing and happy creating.
@@ingolorenzo4158 _the resin is toxic._ Thats why adequate ventilation is also important. You may think im joking but if you spend a lot of time around the curing station or a very long time around the printer you should think about wearing sunscreen as well. i am kicking around the idea of making video on a proper 'lab' setup for doing 3d resin printing.. Most people are just cowboying it out there and its quite worrying.. They may not feel the affects now but they will notice the effects later.

Under the resin vat is a LCD screen that controls which pixels allow the UV light pass and which pixels do not. Any pixel receiving UV thru the screen and vat bottom glass solidifies the print resin. Any pixel staying dark stays liquid as well. Then the base is lifted one layer and the process repeated.
Here's my understanding of it. Imagine slicing an apple into 100 pieces horizontally. Then taking a photocopier, and making a copy of each slice, so each slice is on a separate page. The 3d printer will take 1 page at a time. It will closely examine the page (it's a b&w copy). The white space of the photocopy image is everything that is not a thin apple slice, and the black circle (of various sizes) is the apple slice. Once the 3d printer closely examines the page, it will look at it in the same way that a digital camera looks at a photo. When you look really closely at it, it's a small speck of dust. The 3d printer will reprint that same photocopied image onto the liquid resin - (which is called UV light or magic), it will then harden in the same way as caramel hardens on a candy apple. The 3d printer then takes another photocopied sheet of the sliced apple and makes another layer of caramel and lets it stick to the 1st layer, and when you look at it closely, you can see that this layer is slightly bigger. Since caramel takes a short time to harden, it makes it easy to make layers. If that explaination doesn't help, there is a RI Institution Christmas Lecture which covers how a 3d printer works. :)
This is insane. I had no idea this kind of 3d printer technology existed, but I guess uv resin has so many possibilities that this kind of advancement was inevitable.

Wow! Been following u for months now and love ur channel! U r definitely an artist, love ur work! So I just bought this printer and was searching for info on usage and low and behold here U have one as well! Great to see ur liking it! Wish me luck!
These r so detailed, it's amazing. U are gonna make all sorts of cool things with this to put in your resin pieces for sure! Can't wait to see what u come up with!
I really enjoyed how you presented the subject matter in your video. It offers a different view of exactly what I was looking for. From the detail in the prints to the mechanics of the printer. Thank you
Omg.... I hve never seen such an unboxing before.... I never knew about this... But i hve Been waiting for this from the day you posted in the community tab... This was an awesome experience and very much informative too.... This can be marked as a milestone... Excellent work dear one... Love from India... ❤️
I never remove the resin from the vat after I print. I invert the box that the printer came in over the printer, to ensure that the resin never "sees" UV light, and I can keep the resin in the vat for months. I also sometimes cure the prints in place on the build plate with a UV flashlight if I want the prints to have a really shiny surface (be careful to clean all of the stray resin off of the build plate before you do this, or you will have difficultly cleaning the build plate).
Congrats on the new 3d printer. I love your Amazing hand crafted creations but I am sure this machine will help you in untold ways..... From your explanation, You are a smart man....

I got this one in my shopping cart on Amazon store. ANYCUBIC Photon Mono 3D Printer, UV LCD Resin 3D, and the cleaner as well just waiting for money to come in. It might take awhile.
What's not included in the video was how long it actually takes. Perhaps include a watch beside the machine so we can see how much time has passed. The technology has changed and improved so much since it was 1st done, it's hard to measure how long it takes. (Just as how a dot matrix printer used to print, with newer lazer printers it's much faster)
also another question! why do you take the resin out and clean the tray? why not jsut leave the resin in for the next print? thank you for any help, great video by the way🙏
now I really want to print with resin! I think better prices for the UV resin found online but it's not easy to find 1kg or the color you want, it's selling out because this is groundbreaking for printing haha
Please, use gloves to handle uncured resin! It sensitizes your immune system, so even if you don't have any reaction now, you could start having them eventually, and apparently, it can get quite severe. There's a video here by a guy who got 3rd-degree chemical burns from spilling some on his skin. Love your videos, keep it up.
Clean your fep with a microfibre cloth paper tissue will scratch it over time and you will have to replace it sooner, also the darker the resin the crisper the print will be as the light cannot leak around the side of the layer so easy.

Wear gloves, even if the resin doesn't feel like it's effecting you.

That’s so cool! I don’t understand how 3d Resin Printers work. I’ve looked up information about them but my brain still thinks it’s magic. 😂

please, can you explain to me why we should use the support, can not the object be placed directly on the bed, would we save time and material?
If not for the supports, the bottom of the printout would be distorted. The first layers take longer to cure, which causes deformation
