Yeah, I'm still running the stock exhaust. And no, it's not just you, the heat coming off those pipes in the summertime is brutal. I don't want to change too much on the bike as I still have a year left on the warranty, but a tuner will let the bike run richer and cool the exhaust temps down a little. Maybe next year a tuner and exhaust will be in the works.

The V85TT is a drive by wire design, when you replace the grips, the throttle has to be programmed to the bike. I had to have mine put on at the dealership. Of course you could try an aftermarket heated grip, that might work. Might be better off with heated gloves.

hey Man, have you thought about doing a video on drilling holes just below the inlet of the fuel tank? Im sure you know what a pain in the but it is to fill the last gallon or so. Recently I saw a thread on this on ADV rider.
Never heard of that. Can you send me a link to the thread?
@@cubbysue I dont know how to send a link, but if you go to ADV rider forum, pick Beasts (adventure bikes) then Moto bellisimo then the thread V85TT post 17916, they briefly describe it and there a YT video, but its hard to watch.
hi...thankyou for this video. Í have on mind to buy a V85tt, Could you tell me your opinion about this bike?
Thankyou
Well, this is my second V85TT. I put 16,000 miles on this one without any issues.
Nice shirt PaPa😎
Thanks, nice fella I know got that for me.
Bonjour, je regarde vos vidéos depuis la France. Heureusement qu'il existe un traducteur anglais français. Quand je fais le plein il y a beaucoup d'éclaboussure auriez vous une suggestion à se sujet . Merci✌
Hello Sir..first I like your videos. Your patient and detailed. I’m a newbie to MG. Just bought a v85tt. Sorry if you’ve covered this in another video but are you running the stock catalytic converter? I get a lot of heat against my legs. Just wondering if this is an issue with just my bike.
Thanks for getting back. Forgot about the warranty. I think a new exhaust and tune are in my future.
Just saw one of your earlier videos and think you may live near me. I'm in Cincinnati and often ride in KY. If so I'd like to get together and ride. KY is beautiful.
I will be leading a ride for the KY guzzi rally in September and I am headed to Zanesville this weekend for the rally there in Ohio. You going to either of those?
I didn’t know about them. I’d like to but I’m out of town for the KY rally. For fear of my life from my wife I can’t do this weekend. I just finished a rode trip to the Tail of the Dragon and North Carolina. Maybe connect mid October for a ride in KY?
Ahhhh, why did you change your E4 for a E5 model?
Color. I was in the parts department to order new plastic to do a complete color change when they showed me the Nero. So I traded.
Funny mate , in Australia we work on the Metric system ( since before I was born in 1968 - was done in 66. But we still call a piece of timber that size 4/2 as well 😂😂😂. I know you don’t bring out many V85tt videos BUT they are VERY informative. So you didn’t say when you changed your 2019 V85tt to the latter one ☝️ 🤔?
Regards
Paul from Aus .
Sorry about the lack of videos.... I just bought a new 23 V85TT two weeks ago. Red, White and Blue. Loving it. I'm looking forward to the release of th 24 model. Really liking the look of the Red and White one.. Guess I'll have to keep them both this time....
I was wondering if you know the code number to reset the service icon ? I want to do my own service and it’s due for first service now . Thanks for any help!
Great videos! I bought my 2020 V85tt adventure because of videos like yours !
Thanks again!😁
The new bikes unfortunately don't use a code anymore. The light has to be reset at the dealership.
@@cubbysue that’s a bummer! There has got to be a work a round . I’m determined to figure it out.
I plan to by a OBD2 reader and the adapter for this Guzzi , I want to be as independent of a dealership as possible. Also I want to get my hands on a shop manual. Any feedback is much appreciated!
Thanks again!
@@buddyringo21 I bought the adapter and an OBD2 scanner. The problem is that the scanner can't get in to the service side of the computer to reset it. I hope you have better luck with it than I did. Keep us posted.
@@cubbysue interesting. I wonder if a higher dollar scanner will help?… I’m digging and will continue to seek out an answer . I know you can go through menus to adjust rev limit lights and other stuff . It’s rather silly that a owner has to jump through hoops to service his own motorcycle. I have seen a comment stating the V85tt uses the latest computer but not sure what all that effects. I brought this subject up on a fb Guzzi v85 group, I’ll share with you anything I find also if you come up with something please make a video.
Thanks again! 😁🏍😎
@@buddyringo21 If I figure it out, I will definitely make a video! Good luck.
Merci beaucoup l'Ami
Great vid bro
Thank you. I appreciate the feedback.
The V85TT is a drive by wire design, when you replace the grips, the throttle has to be programmed to the bike. I had to have mine put on at the dealership. Of course you could try an aftermarket heated grip, that might work. Might be better off with heated gloves.
Some Vaseline on the male part for the front hose, save future grief
That would make things easier. 👍🏻
@@cubbysue things I've learned over the years, especially rubber over heat :)
Silicone grease is easier on the parts. I do the same thing on those hoses so the second time is easier. You can find small tubes of food grade at Lowe's for a few bucks.
