  • Precision medicine has made significant progress in Parkinson’s disease (PD), with the development of therapies that target specific genetic variants of the disorder. However, Fabrizio Stocchi, MD, PhD, IRCCS San Raffaele Rome, Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, expands beyond this to include additional considerations a clinician may make when personalizing patient management. For example, PD is more common in men than in women, however women are more likely to experience complications with treatment, such as levodopa-induced dyskinesia. Other factors such as body weight may also be considered when identifying the best therapeutic approach. This interview took place at the AD/PD™ 2024 congress in Lisbon, Portugal.
