Any idea if that's Joseph Kennedy who keeps appearing in the video? He became wealthy from bootlegging and his sons notoriously entered politics. Costello points at him at 10:04.

Absolutely gorgeous work, this was great! Frank Costello was a very interesting mafiosi and character on the American crime scene, and you did great justice in telling his story and filling in some of the blanks on him as well. Keep up the great work, you've got a new subscriber!

Bloody excellent work. Loving it. Really well done. I've been into gangsters and outlaws of the early 20th century, since I was a little girl, due to my father's crooked ways. Frank was old school, proper gangster. Even bought a tear to my eye at the end there. I do love diplomacy. Thanks so much for your great editing and narration. Look forward to some more. ❤😊

They say it is suspicious because the mafia does not use snipers, they get close. It has been said that Bugsy beat his girlfriend Virginia Hill, went back home where her bruises had been seen by Virginia's brother, who was a military trained marksman.

My great uncle Frank Breheny was friends w/ Costello & Meyer Lansky thr their bootlegging buisnesses during prohibition. Breheny was Irish, nt involved any mob.. just want provide 4 his mother, sisters & extended family. His word was his bond. Breheny hd vending buisness w/ alot bars NYC.Lansky was guest my parent's 1949 wedding. With all their "old friends" dying bef them often tragicly murdered yet some how these 2 "old men of the streets & political connections" survived..Often wonder what conversations & react 2 meet each other again end of their days 4 lunch on a sunny back porch? Wld luv hva bug under that table! R.I.P. Francis "Frank The Irishman" Breheny - miss you everyday 😉❤️🕯🕊

when you think about it the 20's-50's was the golden era, they didn't have as much legitimate power as they did in the 60's-90's but the FBI and Law Enforcement wasn't as powerful to go after them, there was no RICO, it was still a very dangerous life but they had to mostly worry about each other rather than the law, later it became too much of headache

Good video but one small thing...
Bugsy didn't go in his home.
It was his girlfriend Virginia's place in Beverly Hills.

Frank never broke omerta and lucky missed America and I don't even know how the charges would hold up in court with him. Myers was a smart one but they really all paid a price because who really became happy when one has to watch his son in a home not doing nothing but being taken care of, nobody knows how much money Myers had but look how much he spent to keep his son alive because he felt guilty of how he was born and his wife was never going to tell. He lived in America and Lucky should have kept writing a book about his life to himself. What would it hurt because he knew what he could and couldn't say. I do believe Lucy lied about Bugs being saved because Myers offered to do the same thing Frank said he would do and he would repay the money they spent over and Myers offered to pay the money for what Bugs did, how would he take hearing your no longer in the Mafia and he knows what that means. You can never act like he's alive and your best friend is dead in your world. I believe Myers thought about it and that alone would end his friends life being told you can never have nothing to do with me and you been friends from kids and he would want to be dead because he was always having to get him out of trouble but stealing, your friend stole from you to and he didn't care about how many times or how long they had been friends. He knew it was death and he never could stop it but Myers didn't betray his friend, he betrayed him and thought he could always fool him but he knew how smart Myers is. I always thought it was the one who fixed the world series who taught Lucky and Myers how to dress and how you can run anything like a company but its so many different stories about the Mafia. Everyone you hear is always good but how the man who took over what Capone had and nobody knew who he is and lived out his whole life without any problems with the law. I never heard of him but just a few short stories but maybe nobody knows because I can't tell you nothing about the man

Nice documentary, but you got one big thing wrong. Frank Costello was the Boss, when Vito Genovese came back, first s capo and then on the under boss after Willie moretti was murdered. After Frank came out of jail on appeal, that's when Vito Genovese tried to murder him. But Frank was the boss all the time.

Seems like Rudy Guliani messed up when he'd done certain things when he'd been mayor of NYC yrs ago... I may be wrong in saying that as a reason for his present troubles but i don't see how anyone can for sure say that his troubles today are not at least in part due to "certain decisions he made years ago" when mayor of NYC. (.)?) ... How about it, what do you think?
