In this video I explain my expenditure, how much money I spend as a PhD in Netherlands. I am currently PhD researcher (or student) in Netherlands. I discuss in short my expenses on food, house, transport, subscriptions in euros (€) per month and per week. Can you please tell me whether the bench fee is paid by you or not ? If not, does university waive off it for PhD students? The bench fee can go up to 10000 euro/year.

No, as I mentioned in the video it depends if I am associated with an academic institution in Netherlands. So, if I do postdoc after PhD or some other thing related to academia here then I will still get it!
Hi. I am an international student and wanted to ask how good is TU Eindhoven to study MSc Data Science & Artificial Intelligence and how is it compared to TU Delft?
Both TU Delft and TU/e being technical research universities are equally good. Try to check their websites and decide yourself which would be a good match for you. Also check the video interviews with data science students from TU Delft and TU/e that were released recently on my channel and possibly contact them to get an extensive idea further.

Hi Sambit, thanks for the useful info for aspirants. I am a Masters's in energy engg. student from Italy (a non English speaking country), planning to do my Ph.D. in TUe or TU Delft. I have already proven my proficiency while admitting into international master's course which is entirely taught in English. If I apply for the PhD role, can the university offer me a conditional post? or Medium of instruction from my current university is acceptable? because exemptions in the website aren't focusing much on Ph.D., rather they mentioned bachelor and master. Please share your view.
English proficiency can be a requirement for most universities and are generally waived off by professors or specific positions advertised. It really depends on the position you apply for in that university. So, if it isn't mentioned then it is better to ask them by Email to confirm the same

As mentioned PhD is a job so you won’t pay anything rather you will get a salary
Hi Sambit, nice videos man. there is this one question I am trying to answer for myself is which insurance to take. now I have done some research and I know there are two parts to it, one is the premium and the other is the deductible. I learned that if I increase my deductible I have to pay less premium. To decide that I wanted to know what is the cost of medicine in NL because if the cost is such that I pay less than the minimum deductible every year then I can increase my deductible so that my premium decreases and I save a lot. Please let me know your opinion. I can pm you if it is not answerable here and if you don't mind. In any case thanks in advance.
Hi Pranesh, I don't know the exact cost of the medicine because by God's grace I have never visited the medical facility here in the last 6.5 years. It is indeed true that you pay less premium each month if you increase your deductible one time risk amount. It is only possible by some date in month of Nov in previous year (if I am not wrong) if you want it to be implemented for the following year. Then after a year you can again re-adjust it.

Hi! I was shocked when you mentioned how much you earn. Not because of the amount but mostly because you are a student. How do you balance that with studying? If you don't mind me asking, what do you do, exactly? I'm starting my Bachelor's at UvA in September and I really need to get a job to cover my expenses. But I thought 500 euros was the max I could earn per month. Also, since I'm going to be in Amsterdam, do you think I need to speak Dutch in order to be hired? I only speak English and italian but I need a job and I don't know if anyone's gonna wanna hire me if I don't speak Dutch. You got any tips for that?

I was doing a PhD here. You can find more about it in the playlist: "PhD in Netherlands". PhD is like a job here, so you get a salary. It is much higher than what you would get while doing part-time during Bachelor's. So, for you it will vary between 500-1000 Eur per month depending on the nature and hours of the part-time job. You will find plenty of English options. Language shouldn't be a major obstacle here!
