We've had quite a few mysterious and strange things pop up in Into The Light.
I made a previous video on the Hall of Heroes easter eggs but now we have a strange triumph that throws up things on the director. we've got a mysterious portal that makes a return in the whisper mission - plus I'll show you how to preview the superblack shader on your Guardians drip!

The original whisper mission made use of that portal area. For the ship, I think. There was some reason you had to go to that red platform past the portal. I feel like that will be used, at least, for one of the oracles.
Yes, in the original mission you had to collect something like essence throughout several hidden areas which are now partially used for Oracles.
The Portal at the end lit up if you had everything and you had to shoot glowing oracles far in the dark in a coded sequence.
It ultimately led to the ship blueprint.
The red platform behind the portal is just an indicator for the way back, nothing special.
@@wochenende6139 There used to be a chest you could jump to from that platform that was part of the catalyst quest iirc
I used the dead messenger in Onslaught for the mountaintop endangerment mission. It finished sometime during the 50 waves.
IIRC that portal spot in the whisper mission used to be where you completed an oracle puzzle to get the exotic ship. It's pretty much the same except for maybe what can be seen through the portal. It was an image of the Vault of Glass raid in the original mission.

The portal originally lead to the Vault of Glass. You can find the portal that it joined to in the jumping part where you cross the chasm with the disappearing platforms in VOG. You could never enter them with VOG not being in D2 when whisper was originally, also fun fact, people who run this new version first time will also still see the vault of glass. maybe time to break out that alt character.
Interestingly the Vex Mythoclast Catalyst is picked up through that portal after doing all prerequisites.
If i remember correctly the portal started the "shoot 7 appearing nodes in the order they appear" to get the ship. The red platform is the start of a way to get back to the ledge on the round structure.
The portal in VoG looked into the the whisper mission and vice versa
This new portal seems to look at the enclave or maybe a new weapon forge this would make sense as we can now craft the whisper
The portal connected to the portal in the Vault of glass and the platform was way to get over to the last Oracle for the ship in the original version.
With the talk to NPC round Robin reminds me of the trips we did when the planets were sunset into the vault of doom.
That Whisper area with the round portal was for the old whisper catalyst you had to shoot stuff in the correct order to get the catalyst or something like that. I bet it comes back in one of these new missions....
There is somewhere to go behind that portal that's how you get back to the main path also right below that platform behind the portal is where one of the oricals are gonna be I've been doing searching in that area and I've taken out the first 3 oricals and found the rest of the 7 oricals locations
Ok the making the rounds triumph portions trigger when you complete brave arsenal quests and it also says in the description of the triumph to visit certain characters during progression of the brave arsenal quests so that is how that works and it’s the closest thing to story that we are going to get outside of some text during brave arsenal quests and whisper quests
I have to say I really like the warlock parade set, using it with the ..... dunno the name somtehing like ungood feeling or such? it's a blueish shader with moving parts, for my stasis warlock set with the stasis arms which give an additional grenade and it looks really good together in my opinion.
I saw in an earlier video that if you ran through the whisper mission the first time the portal showed the same area as it did in the past.
The red platform, you were going correct, it's just a path to vet you back up to tve normal path for the mission.
That place u jumped go through the rock and u can jump up but not really anything else....there is so many places you can go in whisper mission u can stand on some of the mountain walls and go around most pillars and other things both ways

superblack shader will continue to be available after into the light ends but with some yet-to-be revealed alternate method to obtain. source: twid april 18.
For the Mountaintop quest, I found it much easier to run a wave frame special in Onslaught, had the mission done within 10 waves easily. I had actually tried Fight Lion at the loot cave in Grasp and it just wasn't adding up fast enough, I believe I made it to 7% after 15 mins and gave up on that strat in favor of Onslaught/Wave Frame (admittedly I am terrible with FL though).
Yh I use my arc class with bad juju pulse, voltshot undercurrent and hullabaloo and fallen sunstar exotic helmet. Ionic traces for days 👍

A faster way to do the mountaintop weapon quest is to use tusk of the boar, with deconstruct...recent buff gives near unlimited ammo, as long as you're killing several ads at once (which isn't too difficult, with a wave frame gl)
There is a pathway from that red platform that you actually started on but all it does is work your way back round to the begin of the area so you can continue on the mission 👍🏽

In the original whisper mission. The portal showed the Vault of Glass, and in the Vault of Glass the other side of the portal can be found which shows the Whisper mission. Cool yeah!
The new view though the portal to me looks like a busted road in the EDZ

For the Breach Loaded, I used the Dead Messenger.
There is another way to get Mountaintop. Use a Witherhoard, and set up Shuro Chi checkpoint for repeat visits. Each time you travel to this location in the Last Wish raid, you will have 6 rounds of ammo. In the first 10 seconds, unload your ammo on the Taken mob, and go back to orbit. If your spray pattern is successful, you will have 8% of the quest done. Rinse, repeat.
The only quest that has been annoying/boring so far is the one for the scout rifle. Nearly 400 precision shots later, you'll want to curse Bungie for your hand fatigue. Either that, or visit the Crucible.

So actually I saw that in the helm there is a new node that says place holder text and I got a video of it saying menagerie and then changing back.
Cayde's memorial is by the upgrade tree near Zavala.
I believe it used to show the vault of glass in the original whisper mission. and then, if I remember correctly, that is where you had to shoot the oracles in a certain order to make one of the chests spawn

@@justriskit4423 How can it be "used to" When Vault of glass came out years after? Whisper of the Worm the original mission was when Io was still a place you could go to. By that time Bungie hadnt even made up their mind of making a reprised raid entry to destiny 2
@@inceneration the portals don’t actually connect it’s just an image, in the original whisper it showed the vault of glass which at the time was back in D1. Then years later we got VoG reprised and the vex mythiclast catalyst dropped at the location where the portal had hinted at
Now the whisper is back but the image in the portal has changed to an unknown location
Personally I’m guessing it’s the new raid

8:00 actually you’re wrong. Before with OG whisper there was a chest for part of the ship back past that red platform behind the portal.
The red platform behind the portal is just an indicator for the way back, nothing special.
The cloudstrike for the sniper quest... got it done in less than 10 minutes...
