Good tips for beginners, Ushi. I'll be sure to pass this along to my friends! I managed to get nearly all of them (pretty much my entire local game store) hooked on the game, so it's been a blast competing with them as well~
It's cool how the strategy works in this game, but holy crap is it easy to kite the enemy AI in arena. With little thinking and planning, you can beat a lot tougher teams than your own.
"try atack First" Wrong advice. Sometimes is better to let them hit you First, counteratack, then hit then on your next turn to kill them without getting hit a second time.

In the arena, you will want to attack first because it will put your opponent in a disadvantage immediately, they will possibly lose half of their team and if they take out one or two of your units you can revenge kill them and that's an easy win, exploiting the bad AI.
Kevin Li I never atack first unless you I can kill the enemy. Most times it takes 2 fights to kill one, then the best idea is to counteratck, then atack without getting hit the second time. If you atack first, you get hit in the 2 fights.
Takumi isn't as much as a big deal as you think. You can handle him easily with the right tactics. I would know having beaten him in the arena with Merric and a healer. Just by baiting and healing
Are the base stats the same for everyone? Really considering raising my units to max before evolving, not that I have enough feathers, just going by the console games!
It's ok but nothing really new Ushi, maybe you could have added that having 5 more Speed than the target lets you attack twice or maybe that green magic hits harder to tanks...
You know... depending on the situation it might be a better idea to get hit first on purpouse rather than hit yourself. Those tips are all so basic it was just a waste of time for me...

Especially if you are using a ranged unit to attack first, you will emerge unscathed and your opponent will be in big trouble.

most strong and fast mages kill him. ironically he is meant to kill mages.

slightly different stats on lv1, but you really need to look at their stats at high level to see their actual stats growth type.
