Lived in Hermitage road for 20yrs. We used to spend the day there in the summer holidays. Many a happy memory. Also went to stock car racing on many occasions. Great memories! The good old days!
I was born in 80, live in Haringey.
Where exactly was the race track?
I'm guessing it was next to hermitage road where McDonald's and the retail park is??
sad day
me and my mates raced there in the 70.s had some great times
I went there once 1966/67 and what I remember is I bought a very hot Walls steak & kidney pie and it was delicious. Don't remember the cars at all.
White City stadium has gone ?! That's my youth. I was born in East Acton. The White City gang used to pop over for a quick fight in 1962. White City was the whole region where they built a little white city for some big exhibition in 1908. You can find lovely photos of it.
thanks GRA
Neil Irons well, there is Wimbledon. No, wait a minute...there isn't even that anymore!
Fuck the GRA
