    I’d love to put the wax on that 1963 Ford Fairlane 500. One of my favorite cars, clean lines, not to large and a subtle, sporty look. I enjoy your channel.

    Speaking of wax jobs and an old man's observation - I've noticed the much more common trend of people mis-representing cars as "original" when they obviously are not. "Original" at one time meant "exactly from factory". Today, when somebody throws around the over used worn out terms of "original", "barn find" or "hard to find", I immediately think of some guy wearing a sage green , wide lapel polyester suit and wearing white patent leather shoes. Cheap cigar optional.

    Not sure you would consider this a shade tree. I worked on a '73 Plymouth Duster under some pine trees. LOL that is because we had a small lot and they were on both sides of the driveway in the back. I remember one time my friends came over one night and took the tires off of it and put them in the tree. haha They tried it again a few weeks later but my brother saw them from his bedroom window and opened in put his .30-.30 out of it and racked the lever action. It does make a distinguishable sound. They ran like the dickens I guess. They never bothered with the car again after that. LOL

    I enjoy watching your channel! Lots of rides I would like to own! But, there is one very nit-picky thing I would like to point out if you don't mind.
    That is the way you pronounce the name of the famous intake manifold company. I have been in the automotive business since the late sixties, and I have heard the pronunciation you use many times. So I understand it's almost become part of the national lexicon. But I imagine if you asked Vic (if he is still even alive,) he would tell you his last name is: ED-EL-BROCK. Just like it's spelled. I have worked with a number of Edelbrock sales reps and they always pronounced it as I have written it. More of an F.Y.I. than anything else! Thanks for the cool channel!

    • @Americanrodshop
      @Americanrodshop  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I appreciate it CK!
      I do destroy a lot of pronunciations in these videos partly to being blamed on being an old country boy from the deep south with bad habits in pronunciations along battling a light stroke from a couple years ago along coupled with a sincere lack of knowledge on some items. Also compiling and editing these videos takes about 8 hours. After going back through the video time after time to make sure that it is at it's best, I will still find errors and then have to re-edit it all over again,
      At some point of trying to meet my TH-cam posting deadline that I set for myself I will get frustrated and just let the error slide and take my leg stripings in the comments! I am doing better though! I was originally pronouncing it many videos before as "EL-DER-BROCK" and in this video I pronounced it as "ED-DEL-BROCK"!
      All criticism is good criticism and I appreciate any that I receive in the comments!
      Thank you for being a viewer and I appreciate you commenting and your insights!
      Will all videos be perfect? I don't think so, so be ready when I slay those words because it is for sure to come! LOL!
